New this week! "Star Trek: Discovery: Adventures in the 32nd Century" #4, focusing on Linus the Saurian. I bought both cover styles. IDW comics and Mego figures by Ian McLean, on Flickr (Pictured with 8" Mego Saru and Michael Burnham - and my custom Linus.)
After a long wait, the books in my previous post finally arrived. So, here is a better image. These are the only two with significant errors. Trellisane is seriously wonky! : I also recently bought this 4-book set which is still sealed. Got it for $5. As you can see, Black Fire was inserted upside down:
Three Discovery novels: Der Enterprise Krieg (The Enterprise War), Der Ewige Ort (Dead Endless) and The Way to the Stars. Also ordered: Burning Dreams - Pike story. Not sure what to read first, but I'm still busy with two Trek novels.
Burning dreams is a really good backstory for Christopher Pikes Character. And the Enterprise war is a really great novel too. I like both books alot.
Interrupted by Covid iso: IDW's "Star Trek: Mirror War" one-shot on "Sisko"; and Titan's "Star Trek Explorer" magazine #3. New Trek stuff by Ian McLean, on Flickr
My latest haul: New Trek stuff by Ian McLean, on Flickr The 2023 “Star Trek Calendar” from Universe Publishing; alternate cover of IDW's "Mirror War" #7 (featuring the Mirror Universe's Intendant Kira); and "Turn Your Fandom Into Cash: A Geeky Guide to Turn Your Passion Into a Business (or at Least a Side Hustle)" by Carol Pinchefsky (Career Press, 2022).
For those asking what this book is like, here it is. The interviews are republished but there is plenty of new material, too. A rather handsome volume from Titan. "Star Trek: The Genesis Trilogy" (Titan, 2022) celebrates the 40th anniversary of "The Wrath of Khan" and has reprinted interviews (about Star Trek II, III and IV) from the "Star Trek Magazine" plus previously unseen material. Lower Decks comics by Ian McLean, on Flickr IDW's "Star Trek: Lower Decks" comic mini-series, issue #1, arrived a week after the "Lower Decks" cast appeared on an alternative wraparound cover of their Issue #400 celebratory special. TMP DE in 4K by Ian McLean, on Flickr My “Complete Adventure” 4K set of “Star Trek - The Motion Picture: Director’s Edition” arrived Down Under from Amazon US this morning, unceremoniously shoved into my narrow mailbox. Included are the theatrical version (with the "Special Longer Version" via seamless branching) in 4K; the "Director's Edition" in 4K; and a Bonus Features disc in Blu-ray. The accompanying 16pp booklet is beautiful and contains many rare photos and art. There are also reproductions of 1979 bumper stickers, decals, lobby cards and a poster.
"Star Trek Explorer: The Short Story Collection" by Ian McLean, on Flickr Stories by Christine Thompson, Jesse Heinig, Katherine Bankson, Jaddua Ross and Sean McCann. Lots of Andorian and other aliens art inside, reprinted from the last incarnation of the magazine, and based on "Star Trek: Online" computer game. The new captain is Va'Kel Shon of Andor.
