2- I am not part of any 'clique' I am aware of, I found the post in question and read it myself. I don't get the joke either.

3- "Unamerican, unpatriotic and JUST PLAIN STUFFY." is quite an indictment just being based on the fact your thread did not go as well as you anticipated...

Sorry to see any member leave but the choice is yours. The whole point of this site is to have fun and share information/insights and opinions. When it ceases to be fun just take a break from things for a while, that is what I do...

Umm, "unamerican and unpatriotic", am confused

Well, given this is an "international" community kinda precludes any expectation of being excessively patriotic in favour of any one country one would surmise.

Was that sentence too stuffy?

Additionally, I can't help but wonder what was so awful or "unpatriotic" about someone pointing out how poor your joke was. Is there something particularly "american" about making really poor puns about klingons?

Seriously, @patweb , don't get hung up with this. Perhaps you have things going on in RL, but don't react by taking it out to a bunch of strangers on an internet board.... Digits is one of the nicer mods here and he was nice enough to point you the way to a place where you can post more...jokes or puns.

Forum rules are your friend and guide. Abide by them and you'll be fine. Really, no one is out to get you here. There's just structure to this forum to keep things civil and organized. For example, this thread is violating several forum rules, so don't get upset when the mod inevitably shuts this one down, too.

Woah, hold on there. You're spot on that the mod, Digits, is a damned dirty communist and as plain as a pair of Amish bedsheets, but he is not STUFFY. That crosses the line, mister.

I feel kind of responsible since I moved your thread from Miscellaneous up to Digits' den of inequity where he promptly closed it down like the vindictive treasonous cur that he is, so go ahead and place the blame on me, but I for one welcome you into our clique and hope you stay. Jokes are welcome, just in the appropriate venue. It wasn't anything personal when he closed the thread down.
