Last movie you saw?

Did you like the other two?
[...snippage... ]

* I found the 1st outing to be really enjoyable over-the-top fun. Easily 8 or 9 / 10.
* Second outing, though enjoyable, was just a check your brain at the door popcorn flick. 7/10

For me, the prequel tied to be too serious for something that's at it's best, when it's a satire of the 007 trope and a popcorn action flick with amazing action pieces.

The King's Man. Parts of it were entertaining, other parts were infuriatingly ahistorical, the subtext is troublingly neoliberal, and while it has a great cast, it's not charming enough to overlook its flaws as the previous films in the series were.

I watched the 1999 Animal Farm TV movie with voice work by Patrick Stewart, Kelsey Grammer, Julia Ormond, and Ian Holm. Never read the book, so I'm not sure how good of an adaptation it was, but I enjoyed it.

Went to see a screening of Total Recall (the good one) last night. It was the German edit for FSK-16, so quite a few shots of ultra-violence missing, but still great fun.

And then, tonight, watched Desperado, which was just added on German Netflix. Hadn't seen it in maybe ten years, but it's still great.

The Batman. Really good. Though my mind didn’t feel the length, I’m aging and my bladder did, took a chance for the scene when
Alfred wakes up in bed and talks to Bruce
and probably only missed a monologue you’ve seen in any of the Nolan films (not a dig, these are archetypal Batman beats these days).

So you missed the part where Alfred said he killed his parents?

I haven't seen the movie, so I don't know for sure if that's a spoiler, but it sure sounds like one. As such, I have spoiler-coded it to err on the side of caution.

Just a reminder, please no uncoded spoilers until six months after release date.

I just saw The Batman this morning, and I loved it.
As for the scene you missed @The Knappos, all you really missed was
Alfred confirming that what Riddler revealed about Bruce's parents was true except it was Falcone who had his them killed, not Marconi.

Oh, I saw that bit. I ducked out after that happened. How long is that scene and how much do they go over it?!

I can't remember which scene was after that, it's all starting to kind of blur together for me already.

Well I got up just after the bit you spoilered and when I got back
they were holding hands and Pattinson said he wasn't scared of dying. Then he looked up and saw the Bat-Signal. I don't know if there was a cut away or insert scene but I didn't get the idea that was a scene they'd interrupt and then return to. And there was nothing happening I couldn't keep up with.
So perfect toilet break scene, so far as I'm concerned

American Honey (2016)

Probably my favorite from Andrea Arnold, though Fish Tank and Red Road were also excellent. Just need to see Cow, when it moos its way into release next month, to complete her filmography.
