Last movie you saw?

Eternals. As much as I keep saying I'm Marveled out, I enjoyed this one. The codas at the end set it up nicely for a possible sequel. I get that it's probably too "progressive" for some, but I for one enjoy the idea of deaf and gay superheroes. I liked the way the others signed at least a bit when they spoke to Makkari. Admittedly the plot wasn't the most original one, and there were really no true surprises for me (except possibly Ajak's killer), but I was still entertained by it, and that's the point, isn't it?

The Man from Laramie (1955) starring James Stewart. The story was interesting enough, but the riding skills of the actors really impressed me. They had to ride in some quite dangerous terrain. Some of them were done by stuntmen, but not all, judging by the closeup shots.

I watched Dolph Lundgren last night in a shit movie about a creature from the ancient past which lurked in China
Something about Tomb of the Dragon or something
Dubbed into Spanish
It was utterly shit but I should have known before I started

Watched saving general yang (2013). It was quite predictable, up to a point, but very enjoyable nonetheless

Im watching Phenomena on Tubi right now. Been a long long time since i watched it once when i was a kid in the 1980s when my parents rented it for VHS from a video store.

My wife and I just watched "Girl, Interrupted" for the first time - kind of randomly. It was excellent. A lot of familiar faces, too - actresses who became famous much later (Elisabeth Moss).

This past weekend we went to see Spider-Man: No Way Home, which still managed to surprise me even after all the spoilers and was quite good. Then we watched Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which was also good. Both gave me all the feels.

My mom and I saw Moonfall this morning, and we both enjoyed it. Nothing amazing, but I'm glad I saw it, and would gladly watch any sequels if they get made.

I recently watched Prometheus. It caught my attention after my husband referred to the Engineer as “Handsome Squidward” lol.
I actually enjoyed the story and plan to watch the sequel soon.

One of my favorite horseback scenes is in The Hidden Fortress, with Toshiro Mifune yelling his head off going after the enemy patrol on horseback with a sword... straight into the enemy camp for a spear duel! Some people have the misconception that the rider "doesn't do anything" in equestrian activities, and therefore that's a reason to strike them from the Olympics or other sporting events. The treatment of the animals is definitely a big, valid concern, but skill or physicality on the part of the rider really shouldn't be questioned. Horsepersonship is hard work.

Sat down and watched most of The Kingsman over on Hulu last night. Glad I didn't pay to see this in theaters, would have really bummed coming out of the theater having sunk $10 into a ticket and another $10 to get snacks. Was visually stunning in some scenes, but the overall story just wasn't there... 5/10

Did you like the other two?
Saw the Uncharted movie at the theater this morning, and really enjoyed it. I'm a huge fan of the games, and while the story didn't follow the games, I thought they did a great job of capturing the feel and style of them. There's a cameo part way through the movie that I hadn't heard about that is hilarious.
