Last movie you saw?

I love her evil streak in The Man With Two Brains

Wish there had been more of her in Friends.

OMG yes she was great...

Not Kathleen but Darryl Hannah has made fun movies.

Another fun movie was with Darryl Hannah and she played an immortal actress and there was a fight with another actress and she had a huge hole through her body but was still running around, can't recall the title.

I think you got Darryl Hannah mixed up with Goldie Hawn.

They have Death Becomes Her on HBOMax.

That was a fun movie because the end is just so absurd. She's just a talking head that can't die and is just this disembodied head, I think Meryl also ended up that way too by the end.

There was a horror movie I remember done like this a husband kills his wife and you see al the body parts animate and chase after him in the house. Death Becomes Her could have gone down a really dark horror path but it was fun.

I miss the gold old days of 1980s video rental. Driving to the video shop on a Saturday afternoon with the family and mum and dad would choose a film. If it was dad's time to choose it would be something like Pushing Tin or Gung Ho and if it was mum it would be something like Mystic Pizza or The Witches Of Eastwick. Not forgetting a bag of chocolate peanuts for mum.

Yeah we had a really big video store near us back then, was always fun to go and spend time picking a movie, and get lost in time wandering the shelves looking.. Fun times.

Is that how y'all did it?

In my family, we all got to pick a movie - dad, my sisters, my brother & me. Dad's movie would be the first one we would watch, and then it was a free for all who was next, but I was almost always last, sometimes not 'til the next day, since I was the youngest.

Watched Kong: Skull Island over the last couple days as prep for Godzilla vs Kong. I started it yesterday, but had to stop part way through, and didn't get back to it until this morning.

Yeah same here....... I couldn't watch it in one sitting for some reason. I did like the first movie in the trilogy the 2014 Godzilla and King Of The Monsters but the Kong movie didn't really grab me so I did that one in two sittings.

Oh, no I just had to take a break to do some other stuff, and by the time I was done I just didn't feel like watching anything. I knew when I started it, I wasn't going to be able to finish it in one sitting. I absolutely love it.

Amundsen - Great looking but lacking a bit of depth.

It would have been a waste of money to buy any more than two films because there was always That's Life and Bullseye to watch on Sunday night and the videos had to be returned on Monday morning or there would be a fine so they all had to be watched on Saturday night. I don't remember me or my bro and sis choosing a film and it was always mum and dad. I'm also the youngest so if I did choose a video it would probably not get watched anyway. As long as they bought a bottle of coke and some toffee popcorn I was happy with whatever the film was. Good old days of the five of us having dinner and watching telly together. Then we grew up and moved out and those days become a thing of the past. Looking back we would argue and bicker but it was still the highlight of the week.

Had a DVD marathon this weekend and over Friday and Saturday I watched Mask, A Few Good Men, Con Air, Training Day and Beaches. I've seen them all before many times but I never get bored of them. I don't sit there watching the TV when I put films on and they are always on in the background while I do other things on the computer.

I've seen Training Day several times and love the fast pace but watching it last night was the first time I heard him mention the bathtub on the phone. I knew he was involved but never to that extent. That's a well deserved Academy award.

I love watching tv shows and movies but it's funny if I watch on the computer I don't usually do it in one sitting as I get distracted with sudden thoughts or want to look stuff up during the movie when something is mentioned, but on the TV it's fine .

I'm the same and I made it sound like I watched the films on my computer which I couldn't for the reasons you mention but also because watching a DVD or video file and then trying to browse the internet would cause stuttering. I watch DVDs on a TV with a PS3 that I bought second hand years ago and the bluray drive broke after a few months just as I had met the third character in GTA5. I still use the PS3 for the DVD player as the controller has a lot of functions and the console doesn't have to be in view like infrared. I thought putting it out the way in a drawer would help declutter without considering the overheating problem and it now sounds like Concorde.

There are great tutorials online about cleaning the console which are good to watch if you feel confident to tackle that, which involves a bit of disassembly.

Went out to AMC Tyler earlier today & watched Boogie (which was boring) and The Mauritanian (which was a pretty good legal drama).
