Last movie you saw?

Lego Movie 2. The first half was almost a chore to get through, and I even thought about just stopping. It picks up at about the half-way point, and then it becomes fun to watch. The real problem, I think, is that with the first movie, the twist ending really came as a surprise that seemed so clever at the time. But once you know that, with the second, you kind of already know from the beginning where this is going.

Treated myself to the Christmas Chronicles double feature. Christmas is coming.

so we now celebrate halloween with this cary grant thing "Arsenic and Old Lace" we watched one day before thanksgiving.. I had never seen the two sisters. ---

right now we are putting on "The Princess Bride". I know nothing about this movie and am told I have to have to watch it for some kind of reference sake and quotes that have been used...---

going thru star trek original series with my girlfriend she knows very little about star trek-- just not anything really, so--- we are at the precipice entering the menagerie episode eleven we have seen the first 10 of the original--- last nite we skipped right to the first movie --- and kim liked the voyager 6 reference --- I had not spoiled the ending so it was good like that for her. I think it is menagerie time tonite on talos four and my avatar it suited up and ready--- :)

first tonite was - "The shop around the corner" (1940) with jimmy stewart--- OMG ,.. such a wonderful holiday movie romantic comedy --- I cried some at the end so romantic!! I watched with my girlfriend we loved this it was one of her favorites...there was the wizard from the wizard of oz --- was the owner of the shop --- with a reference to ballon flying toward the shop owner ex wizard --

Checked another one from my John Carpenter must-see list with Big Trouble in Little China just now. What can I say, it was a hoot. "Good job, Jack!" Man, do I believe the story of the studio bosses not getting the joke. Side note, is it me or does Carter Wong kinda look like Chinese Powers Boothe?

Went out to AMC Tyler and watched The Holiday (2006) for the first time and The Croods: A New Age IMAX this afternoon.

Props to The Holiday for being one of the few movie or television productions to have even sheets across both actors after a sex scene instead of showing off the dude's chest and then a steep angle up to the woman's shoulders. Gotta say, though, if I were ever to have sex with a woman that looked like Cameron Diaz did in 2006, that bra would be off.

The Croods sequel was actually pretty amusing, laughed quite a bit while watching it, and nice to see not every great joke is in the trailers.

May be going to see The Blues Brothers tomorrow, haven't decided yet.

Watched Iron Man Three via Disney+, first time I think I've watched it since going to see it at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz when it opened in 2013.

Blade. All this praise Black Panther gets being the first substantial black superhero but I think he was more badass. The movie isn’t as violent as I remember it to be. Funny how time does that.

Waterworld. I haven’t seen this movie in over 20 years and it’s funny that the only thing I remember from it was him drinking his own pee at the very beginning.
It was a pretty enjoyable movie. Basically Mad Max but on water. Love the idea that dirt becomes the valuable resource.
The location of the land at the end was pretty predictable but I suppose that’s the only thing it could have been.

I've not seen any of the other Transformers films but just saw Bumblebee. A very funny and at time touching film.
