Not open for further replies.
Yes, it is *confirmed* Captain Robert April will be in the new flick.

To be played by Eugene Roddenberry.

Thank you. And I just saw the teaser trailer at the beginning of Cloverfield. It made me feel "young, as when the world was new." :p

Source?

Robert Beltran who - incidentally - will be reprising his role as Chakotay. Don't ask me how JJ managed to squeeze him in there, but he did.

He used two big lads and a shoehorn. Beltran whinged about his love-handles getting chafed.

Back to the OP...

Probably not. I think when we first see the Enterprise, the ship will already be designed/built (so no Marvick), and April's tenure as Captain (if he even ever existed) will be over.

Sigh...

...who the fuck is Larry Marvick?

Sounds like a game show producer, someone who'd have been in competition with Merv Griffin.

\S/

^
^^
^^^Larry Marvick was in TOS Is There no Truth in Beauty. He's the guy that beamed up right before Diana Muldaur and the Medusan 'ambassador-in-a-box' (Kollos) beamed up.

Scotty said he was one of the original designers of the Enterprise.

SPOILER:

He also dies in that episode.

A game show producer name is Bill Todman, From "A Mark Goodsen/Bill Todman Television Production" fame -- his son Bill Todman Jr. is a producer of ST:XI

Spoilers for a forty plus year old show. I love it! :guffaw:

I have others:

Trelaine is just a bratty child, Balok is just a puppet (the real Balok is even creepier), and...
.
.
.
...and Rosebud is Charles Foster Kane's boyhood sled.

No, actually, the "Rosebud" was code that Orson Welles was using to riff William Randolph Hearst's nickname for Marion Davies' womanly center. The rumor got all over Old Hollywood, Welles picked it up, and of course, Hearst never forgave him.

No one could twist the knife like Orson Welles. Hearst was completely helpless. There was nothing he could say or do.

I would slap you with my cyber hand on the last one, if it weren't for the fact that Family Guy had already spoiled me.
