Language dubbings in future releases

As TNG is moving forward to a new generation of bluray discs, I would like to bring up again the discussion about spoken languages/dubbings on the discs. While Star Trek moved to bluray and new versions of the series and movies have been released, it seems that in regard of language versions, dubbings and subtitles the products are NOT evolving/improving in contrary to other franchises (e.g. LOST) that have been brought to bluray. The (main) European releases have usually spoken Eng, Fre, Spa, Ger and Ita with some more subtitles versions. This is the "Paramount standard" since the first releases on DVD although especially for the movies other (local) dubbings exist.

I wonder why there is no evolution? With its world-wide popularity, there should be other versions available (Portuguese, Russian, Japanese etc.). Maybe we could make here a list of known existing dubbings for the Star Trek TNG series and send the wish to Paramount to enrich the new bluray releases.

What do you think, should the new bluray releases be wider in the field of spoken languagesa and would this make for you an additional point for purchasing them?

Please state if you have found a TNG series release with dubbings different than Eng, Fre, Spa, Ger, Ita.

I look forward to that discussion.

I just received my TNG next level Blu-ray.
It has the following audios:
English, French, German, Castellano (Spain Spanish) and Japanese.

I don't know why but it has no Italian as the DVD sets do. I hope they will put Italian back on the blu-rays as well while having the Japanese as well on it.

The "Spanish" version is castellano as on the DVD set season 1-6, season 7 was (Latin) Spanish.
I would prefer that they put (Latin) Spanish AND Castellano on all the blu-ray seasons.

As far as a know, there is also a Russian audio available (in Russia) for TNG, so they could put it on the blu-rays too, although it is only a voice-over.

So I would hope that the blu-ray have the following audios available:

1. English
2. Castellano
3. Spanish (latin)
4. French
5. Italian
6. German
7. Japanese
8. Russian

All languages with available subtitles too.

I would like to know here FROM YOU if there are other language versions existing on DVD so that they might apprear on blu-rays. (Portuguese would be cool..., or Turkish, Polish, Czech,Greek, etc)

It seems that most people here are Americans/Britans that don't know or care about the stuff, considering the number of answers I got. Thanks anyway for noticing my concerns.

Yeah and while they're at it why don't the do British English dubbing? I hear most Brits can't understand a word Picard and co are saying

I wonder why there is no evolution?

Well with French they'd have to do Quebac French for Canada and Parisian French for Europe.

What do you mean with "they'd have to do"? They will do for sure not do any NEW dubbing. If it already exists then they could put it onto the Blu-rays. Does a Quebec dubbing for TNG exist? For the "Star Wars complete blu-rays" they put a Quebec AND a "Standard Parisian" French dubbing which I would not mind for TNG blu-rays.

Are there any Brazlians or people for Portugal here to tell us if they have seen TNG in Portuguese?

Update: "Next Level":

I have noticed that there some changes for the subtitles in reference to the DVD edition.

For "Mission at Farpoint" the subtitles (Ger/Fre/Spa) are exactly the same as on the DVDs
For "Sins of the father": the subtitles (Ger/Fre/Spa) are not the same, its a new version that is closer on the English audio.

In fact, the subtitles (Ger/Fre/Spa/Ita) on the DVDs were very close to the audio in the same language (Ger/Fre/Spa/Ita) respectively. For me that was great (for a learner of these languages), however it created some differences in meaning while watching the English audio with the non-English subtitles. Although these changes seem logical I would prefer to have both versions on the blu-ray. Since they already exist it would not add significant cost.

Btw, how could I make contact (email) with Paramount in order to make them aware of my suggestion/wishes for the upcoming blu-ray release? Thanks in advance for your help.

Just for the record: They fucked up the German version of "Sins of the Father" on the Next Level Bluray release. It's severely out of sync.

So yeah, if they can't even get their biggest European market right I don't have much hope for other languages.
