Lakeview Terrace

meh, asshole cop, tries to run-off/kill the new neighbors who can't complain because of the blue wall, pass

I was hoping the conflict was more complex than the trailer portrayed, but it looks like not. Might be amusing for its twisted racial politics, but no way am I going to bother in the theatre. Burn After Reading was more worth my time. Speaking of which, why hasn't that film earned a thread of its own?

It does look interesting, but not interesting enough for me to see it in the theatre. I'll probably Netflix it.

I think I'm going to wait for the DVD on this one. Maybe I could justify $1 at the cheap movies later.

It's different than I expected from the trailer. Not just a "bad neighbor" movie. They avoid a lot of cliches. And some actual motivations are given instead of just some "nutcase" who lives next door.

Still, I found it just average. Didn't buy the married couple because of the script and performances.

I always like Jackson, but the movie as a whole never really grabbed me. I even have trouble remembering the title of this one. It will fade away quickly.

This seems like the kind of movie where, if the studio was making a straight-to-DVD flick with a similar plot, they'll quickly rename it Lakeview Terrace 2.

Or had this been a cheap, straight-to-DVD movie, they would've renamed it Unlawful Entry 2.
