LaForge pathetic in "Booby Trap"

I have to say the premise for this episode was great. However, Laforge was brutal. He strikes out with Christy in the opening scenem then he pines for a hologram.

The worst part was when the crew will die from lethal radiation exposure in two hours and he's trying to give the hologram a personality. Cmon!

Yeah I have to agree, I don't think it really works. Handled differently, the premise might just have become plausible, but as it is LaForge's actions don't ring true.

Hollow Pursuits, which has a broadly similar premise,was far better later on in the season.
