Hey. I like his big nose. Big noses (that aren't ginormous) are masculine and handsome (look at David Boreanaz or Harrison Ford for handsome big-nosed individuals). He's a little metro, but at least he looks like a man. A rather hairy man with huge eyebrows and a large nose. ;)

I go for that look over the pretty boys every time. Though I do enjoy the cute, short and funny types. I generally prefer darker or more "dangerous" looks with prominent brows. I've noticed that trend.

Anyway, has everyone seen this Spock (Nimoy/Quinto) fanvid?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQJ8fHsQ7Js

It depends how big the nose is. I don't find Harrison or David's noses to be nasty because they equal out with their faces. Quinto's nose almost looks bigger than his face.

I hardly even notice his nose, it gets overshadowed by his eyebrows and eyes.

What big nose? What I am seeing here is quite proportionate.

OK...granted, I would've had 40 pages to catch up on in order to see if this has been answered already--

But are there any of the other ladies that fell for Pike instead?

I have a hard time determining exactly why--but I suspect it's kinda similar to why I went for Harrison Ford in stuff like Patriot Games. A good mix of strength and humor in the character, plus what I would describe as rugged handsomeness. :)

I take it your vote goes to Karl Urban? Welcome to the club. Don't forget to vote in the threeway poll. :D

^^Duh. Those with the pretty boy and Kirk (both Kirks) avatars.

Karl Urban's pretty good looking, too.

But where's a poll with Pike??? :techman:

Yeah, well, if I clicked on every link in these threads, I would've changed my name to YouTube Fangirl, signed up to LiveJournal, and forgotten to sleep or check in with work. :D

Oh, Pike is not without his fans, you may rest assured. Some of them have even posted in this thread.

ITA, I tend to focus on his intense eyes :p

If I were to give an instance of a man with a noticeable big nose, I'd say Adrian Brody. And I don't think it makes him ugly or something.

I didn't fall for him but I certainly did notice that he was very handsome. He's got class and elegance but you can feel he has also an edge. That's an attractive mix.

I've just watched "Requiem for Methuselah" and I've just about melted on the spot when Spock played the piano
For an unemotional Vulcan, he's certainly versed into arts. And it was the supposedly unemotional Vulcan who saw that Flint was in love with Rayna, not the humans. You're so busted, Spock.

But, but, naughty Roddenberry pulled off some heavy slashy innuendo at the end of the episode! I think my jaw hit the floor

Okay, I may be a Shia LaBeouf supporter, but in this case.... PIKE!!!! Pike rocks. He's incredibly sexy, albeit a bit thin. I fell for him.

Pike. What a guy.

But don't listen to me, I'm inebriated.

Yeah, I'd say Pike comes second to McCoy in the sexiness stakes for me. I hope he's in the second movie.

Ooh, no, definitely not alone. I think Pike is fab - so confident and masculine, and handsome without looking as though he tries too hard. Now that you mention it, if I had to chose my favorite between him and Quinto's Spock, I'm not sure who I'd pick. Tough choice.

SO glad to know he has his fans. ;)

I mean, I can see why people find Pine and Quinto attractive, but they don't particularly do THAT much for me.

About the person who said Pike is a bit thin...he's not burly by any means, but he doesn't look scrawny, either. I think he gets the balance just right. :)

I first saw Bruce starring in a romantic-suspense TV movie some years ago. It's a potboiler, called "Treacherous Beauties" from 1994, with Emma Samms.

They had love scenes in it (he was the protagonist); Bruce in a tux; and many other yummy scenes -- including my personal most memorable one: in the stable with his shirt off, currying a horse. He had a water hose on the horse and was looking pretty wet and naked.

I have been a big fan of Bruce ever since. It's available on DVD at Amazon.

And here's a picture of the original DVD cover with Bruce
