ThankQ, yeah I agree, you can see it's Nimoy when you look at the eyes, but despite that it would have taken me some time to find out If I hadn't seen this posted on a Trek board or completely out of context.

I've always been into dark and tall men (despite my Brad Pitt phase I had when I was about 13 ).
Somehow this pic of young Nimoy reminds me a bit of Johnny Depp (). He looks totally different, of course, nevertheless it reminds me of Mr. Depp. It's probably the eyes, looking at them from this angle.

PS. isn't it a fact that the older we get, the more we tend to shrink? our spines curve and we become shorter. Shatner is about 5-9, I think. how tall is Pine? about 6?

I've met Bill many times over the years, and it does actually seem like he's shrinking lately! I always felt like he was around 5'8" - 5'9", maybe a bit more in the right kind of shoes

His wife Liz (standing next to him through most of that video at the horse show party) is fairly tall, around 5'8" - 9". I'm 5'11", and grew up a country neighbor of hers (back when she was Elizabeth Anderson.) Liz and Bill used to seem like they were around the same height. The first time I met Bill I remember thinking he seemed "life sized", that is, about the height I expected him to be - average. (Nimoy is definitely a six footer.) But the past year or so he seems to have shrunk, and even without heels Liz seems taller. The Shat was never long legged, so maybe he is shrinking with age.

Pine and Quinto look like they are the same height - 6'1"- 6'2" (maybe it's the boots, lol). I love having a taller Kirk. OTOH, I would hate having Kirk taller than Spock...just outa habit from years of reading and seeing the "tall" Vulcan.

I probably won't see Bill again til July or August, but I promise I'm going to take note of how tallhe is next to me and report back.

An Officer- I think maybe I've only seen one Dame Edna show. I am a fan of British comedy though. My name is from seeing so many possums in rural Iowa that some have started to look cute and the phrase "Awesome Possum" has always made me smile.

The funny thing is even though I've been a fan of Star Trek for 20 years now, I had never bothered to seek out any discussion groups. I've been missing out.
