La Sirena

I find that unlikely.
Could this be an outline of the La Sirena?

unknown.png

If that's from the La Sirena, i guess, with LCARS being used on the ship, this strongly hints that the ship is a (former) starfleet vessel.

I wouldn’t say those are necessarily LCARS/Okudagrams at all. The panel on the right actually reminds me of Soran’s missle launcher panel from Generations.

Imo both of the panels look very LCARSish.

Could also be that Soran's missile launcher originally belonged to Starfleet. Maybe he stole it.

The one on the left definitely looks LCARS. Not that I personally care too much about that stuff!

Love that nobody assumes it's an ashtray.
Has this gen even seen a cigar?

I have a friend who's 30 (10 years younger than I am) who smokes cigars every now and then. He normally doesn't smoke and so is only doing it to show off when he does. I keep my mouth shut about it. Someone else, not a friend, who's about the same age as this guy did the same somewhere else one time, then offered it to me, to which I said "no thanks." I go by the expression, "Cigars smell like what they look like." That having been said...

Still looks cool that Rios has one. The difference between Rios and those other two people I described is that Rios doesn't look like he's showing off. He looks like he was born with a cigar in his mouth. He carries it off like it's natural. If you're gonna do it (and you shouldn't), you have to own it. Completely. Rios pulls it off.

There will be some Canonistas who complain but I'm going to cut them off at the pass. First off, the Enterprise has a "No Smoking" sign in TWOK and TSFS in the Transporter Room. You wouldn't need it if no one smoked. Nick Meyer's mentality was "People have been smoking for two hundred years! Do you think they'll stop in the next two?" And then, later on, we see St. Talbot smoking in TFF.

It makes sense that Starfleet wouldn't allow smoking and that Earth would be Paradise. But Rios seems as far removed from Starfleet as you can get. And I'm guessing he's not on Earth much, if at all, unless he absolutely has to be for some reason. That's my take on him.

Unless sometime in the next 200 years Cuba gets bombed outta existence,
I don't see Cigar Smoking going the way of the Dodo.

Everybody today knows that smoking can be deleterious to ones health...

Doesn't stop people from doing it.

If Cuba got bombed out of existence, the Xindi did it in April 2153.

"A probe. They don't know where it came from. It fired a weapon that cut a swath 4000 kilometers long, from Florida to Venezuela. There may have been a million casualties."

Anyway, back to the discussion of La Sirena...

That probe just cut Cuba in half, it didn't take out the entire island.
