Spoilers Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter Revealed

Perhaps Im being a little harsh on Han. He just...let me down. He was my hero, yaknow. Luke too...It's just too bad these fictional characters couldn't live up to their reputations.
I wouldn't rush to judge quite yet since we don't have the full story of what happened.

People can be very heroic and still struggle with parenting.

It's interesting to me that these heroes "let you down" when we don't know the full story of what happened. I highly doubt that losing someone to the Dark Side makes one able to cope with fantastic skill and ability.

He's dead. His story is over. He was a bit of a bum, and not very honest.

You know he's a fictional character right? And that there's these things called book and comics, yes? Also, there's a possibility some of this will be touched on future films, since it's very relevant to a certain mopey villain who is very much alive.

Yeah, it's not like there's a entire movie centering on him coming out. Han is history, no new info, move along.
I've also heard that once "The Last Jedi" is released, a virus will go out retroactively deleted Han from everything Star Wars, pop culture and Internet related.

Stupid MIB.

But, but, the books said there were twins.
You mean the old EU books? How is that even remotely relevant?
Nothing in the movie specifically states that there wasn't a twin.
Nothing in the movie specifically states that Ben wasn't abducted by a living block of soggy gold as an infant and replaced by an android replica with the soul of a dead Jedi woman either.

Lack of direct contradiction is hardly proof. There being a second Solo child would be a pretty massive omission given the context of the dialogue.

Me saying that I'm disappointed in Han or calling him a bum has nothing to do with additional details about his life before he died. We saw what he became at the end of his life, and his story has come to an end.

Obi-Wan was an all powerful magic space wizard, and had the power to make appearances in Episode 5 and 6.

Han can't do that. Nor can he take back his actions before he died. For instance, He can't unborrow all that money that he borrowed with no intention of repaying.

I guess this is a agree to disagree moment, because his story ended in going forward but there circumstances that led up to his choices in TFA. Just because his story ended the way that he did doesn't mean there isn't more story to tell.

I can think of a lot of ways to expand Solo's story.

I'm not in disagreement.
Ok...then why state this:
He's dead. His story is over. He was a bit of a bum, and not very honest.

When his story is "over" in the sense it will not progress forward, but it isn't "over" in that there are more parts to be told, more that could inform why Han ended up the way he did by TFA.

So, there is more to the story, which may shed more light on to why he went back to his scoundrel ways.

Han can't change who he ended up as just because of prequel Han stories.

Are they going to retcon that Han was out borrowing money and not paying it back, or that he tried to dump Rey on Takodana, or that he tried to borrow more money in another loan from Maz?

Are you feeling defensive and upset that my hero Han didn't live up to my expectations?
