Knight Rider is over

There was some early mystery about his missing memories of Iraq but that was dropped early on.

Actually it was a plot point brought up over the course of several episodes. The most recent (2 eps ago) was "Knight of the Living Dead" where there it was inferred that Mike's missing memories have something to do KARR.

Funny how this show went the same way as Team Knight Rider. Big set-up mystery and then *WHAM*

I think it shows that either the original show only works for kids/for nostalga and had a special "something" at the time or the people trying all of these reboots and spinoffs are missing something on what made the original show work.

Which, more than anything else was the interaction between Michael and KITT and KITT's characterization which, honestly, I think a lot of credit goes to William Daniels for that.

Heh, that show was pure shit; ratings of the last episodes will not improve either, so the show is pretty much dead. What if the central character were Michelle Knight? Watch her fight crime nekkid riding a talking sybian...err...never mind that, it wouldn't work for prime time. I've got it! Maybe NBC will make a shitty version of Airwolf and the A-Team next so we can watch those shows get shitcanned too. How about finishing Galactica 1980? Dr Zee needs his story fleshed out!

But... but... but...

Hot chicks.

Fast car.

Pretty colors.

What more do you people want? :scream:

Story.

Consistancy.

Internal logic.

Arced story telling.

A sense of "what they're doing matters."

I mean, really, the show just plays like a parody of a TV series.

If it was played a bit darker and a bit seriouser it might have something.

Made up words don't make your point. :p

Wait, you're one of those who was titillated at a half-naked Deanna Russo from the get-go :wtf: and now you're saying they should have been more serious????

Half-naked hot babes =/= a lot of the goofy stuff that's happened in this series, the goofy production tones and other characters, etc. etc. etc.

It's possible to have a dark, serious, series and still have Deanna Russo half-naked.

:guffaw:

I quit on it by episode 5.
You managed three more episodes than I did.

Completely agreed. William Daniels IS KITT. All others are mere shadows. Though seriously, of all the shows to do a remake of, why pick one that was originally so shallow, then make it even MORE shallow?

Well, I was wondering what was going on. I noticed my DVR only had 8 episodes recorded. And it's been like that for several weeks now.

Not Quiet Canceled

Yes, they havent ordered any more episodes. But no, it's not an official cancellation. That fate depends on the ratings of the remaining episodes.

Consider it canceled. I never watched it so, I can't comment on the show itself but, I can say that, no matter how good or bad it was and no matter what could be done to make it better, NBC needs to clear a lot of airtime to make room for Jay Leno. They're giving him the 10pm slot, Mon. - Fri. for his "new" talk show.

That's not even the same time slot as Knight Rider  Since you didn't watch the show, why bother commenting in this thread?
