"Don't Stop The Night"?? That doesn't even make sense. lol
Looks like Carrie got the Tasha Yar treatment. At least with this reboot they aren't just switching everything around in between episodes like Buck Rogers.
Have they used "A Hard Day's Knight"? That would've made a good title for this one. Or "Long Day's Journey into Knight," though that's a bit wordy.
I think you nailed it pretty good with "stupid."The plot with Michael and KITT was good, I liked that. But I'm sick of the group at Faux-TU. And the stupid subplot with the stupid sick robot was... well I can't think of a word for it, but it wasn't good!
I agree with your statement about the AIs being his children and how it affected Charles. I disagree, though, regarding it all being moot. After all, perhaps there is an affect when they have to deal with KARR (which I also hope is a 2-part arc) and we'll get an answer to what happened with the Knight Two-Thousand.I liked Hank the robot. He was more sympathetic and a better actor than some of the cast members of this show.
Of course, the real point of the subplot was about Charles. These AIs were his first beloved creations, and now he's moved on to KITT and left them behind. The story was ultimately about his regrets at losing touch with a piece of his past. I thought that was kind of nice. Though probably rather moot what with the upcoming changes.

The execution of it, though, leaves much to be desired.

On this show, isn't that kind of a given?
