Klingons on Picard and other future shows

I doubt the Klingons will be a big focus of the show, but I'd shocked if they didn't pop up at least once. Since the show appears to be dealing with the aftermath of the Hobus supernova, they'll pretty much have to show up in somewhere along the line. There's just way to much history between the Klingons, Romulans, and UFP for them not to become involved.

I'm guessing (and hoping) for no Klingons. I'd love a Michael Dorn appearance, but it might be wiser for the writers and producers just to avoid this issue all together.

In "All Good Things", the Klingons had invaded the Romulan Empire and Fed/Klingon tensions were high.

Romulus is gone, I can imagine them picking up this alt-future thread for The Picard Show and having Klingons as antagonists.

I suspect you will be right...

*sigh* Why must y'all insist on being willfully obtuse? We've been telling you for YEARS that the official abbreviation for Discovery is DSC. If the new series is called Destiny, it would likely be abbbreviated as DES or DST. This is consistent with how previous series are abbreviated: TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT.

Retire the "STD" jokes. They were lame the first time, and they get lamer every time they're repeated.

But I thought continuity didn't matter and only losers cared about it? At least that seems to be the general consensus on this forum, particularly from STD fans.

If you don't like it because it's childish, then fair enough, but appealing to continuity doesn't make any sense at all here. If it doesn't matter for the story or characters or world building, it sure as hell doesn't matter for the abbreviation.

Hell no....
We have enough undelevoped aliens of the weeks as it is...
think more of the bajorans, cardassians, andorians. and not aliens of the week when i advocated new aliens.

have the writers dream up new species, their predicessors managed to do it
Not having the Klingons would be like not having the Federation.
no, it would be like not having a old, played out species keeped around for lack of imagination.

They're a major player in Alpha and Beta Quadrant politics, it's impossible not to mention them.

I'm not saying I want them to be a focus, I don't want them to be a focus.

But I want them to be mentioned. They don't need to be seen.

maybe in addition to klingons,
burnham can be there to woman-splain things to picard.

if we're going to have things unwanted.
