Klingon translation needed

I just picked up Strange New Worlds III. There is a story called jubHa', by Lawrence M. Schoen. The whole damn thing is written in Klingon. I don't know the language, and I don't have the time to sit with an English/Klingon dictionary and translate. So, is there anyone who has already translated this who can show me a copy, or who knows where there is an on-line translation, or is the author on the boards? Please, let me know!

Seriously?! There's a story written fully in Klingon in SNW with no translation?! Wow, I had no idea. I can understand the frustration.

There is a synopsis in the second edition of the Pocket Books timeline, in Gateways: What Lay Beyond. That synopsis doesn't seem to have made it to the third edition, unfortunately. In fact, the story itself isn't even given an entry in the main body of the book!

I did a complete translation once, several years back. I have no idea if I still have a copy, but I can look for it.

IIRC, the plot is basically as follows: A Klingon warrior had been kidnapped by Romulans for scientific research, and has now been returned to his vessel, only for his shipmates to discover that, a) he is permanently paralyzed, and b) he has been given healing ability to the extent that he is effectively immortal.

As you can imagine, this is the most dishonorable thing imaginable for a Klingon warrior to endure--to be unable to move (thus unable to fight) and yet unable to die. But then a Vulcan in the Klingons' brig strikes a deal whereby he can give the warrior back his honor in return for his own freedom. The Vulcan programs a mind-sifter with simulations of battle, then uses a mind-meld to make the paralyzed warrior believe that the simulations are real.

So the Klingon spends the rest of his days happily and gloriously killing in virtual battle after battle, and thus regains his honor.

Or something like that.

Well, I meant it in the sense of "the Titanic disaster, the Hindenburg disaster, and the Paris Hilton disaster" but your comment works just as well.

Thanks, Geoff! I'll be able to sleep again. If you can find the actual translation, I'd love to read it, though.
