I actually think they got sloppy with Worf's make-up. You can clearly see the where it was applied to his head on the sides. Maybe this was bad lighting, but for whatever reason, I think they got sloppy with him.

According to Dorn, eleven seasons of ST (and five movies) worth of makeup glue has permanently affected his skin over his temples.

This makes me feel terrible for Dorn. And guilty.

I like both versions. In TNG they looked much more menacing and alien like.
