Klingon Cardassian War

It went into a bit of detail as to why it started but the war was "over" after "The Way of the Warrior" (or at least Gowron declared victory).
No major battles were shown, it all happened off screen. The only time we saw Klingons and Cards fight was in "The Way of the Warrior" 2 or 3 BoPs vs a disabled Galor, a BoP vs a freighter in "Return to Grace" and a BoP and battle cruiser vs a couple of freighters in "Rules of Engagement", all very minor stuff.
The closest we came to a ground battle between honourable Klingons and treachorous Cardassians was in "The Way of the Warrior" where Dukat and Garak fit a few on DS9.

Ah, yes the battle where the Klingons showed their tactical brilliance by aimlessly charging around corners straight into Garak's disruptor fire in order to murder unarmed civilians.

Did the series get into detail about the Klingon-Cardassian War? Did they show sceness with major battles between klingon and cardassian ships? Did they show any ground battles?
In Once More into the Breach, showed the D'har Master charging a Carddy installation and doing some damage w/BoP (small ones), but once the Carddy Keldon's and Galors got under way, the BoP didn't have a chance.
^ Actually that was a Dominion built planetary starbase using phased polaron beams. You're right about the Galor cruiser vaping the BoP in one shot which leads me to conclude that the Prakesh was either a relatively unarmed and defended transport version or an old near decommissioned warship. (either that or they could not find a design for a Cardassian transport so had to use a Galor).
