Klingon Arc

BruntFCA

I'm looking to re-watch the episodes dealing with the Klingon empire and don't want to miss any. So can someone give me a list?

I'd say--

"Heart of Glory"
"A Matter of Honor"
"Sins of the Father"
"Reunion"
"Redemption" Parts 1 and 2
"Birthright" Parts 1 and 2

I'd definitely add "Rightful Heir".

And perhaps "Firstborn", for its brief insight into what the Duras Sisters were doing before ST:GEN completed their story. (Although DS9 "Past Prologue" does that, too. And the story of the Empire is told in DS9 at least as much as it is in TNG.)

You can also google the episodes and see if you think you are missing any. And maybe try and branch out to VOY and DS9 to get a bit more.

One might argue that "The Emissary" and "Birthright" aren't necessarily stories that are important to the fate of the Klingon Empire, not in the sense of the other episodes listed...

* "Heart of Glory" introduces the Kahlessian "honor movement" and the internal Klingon strife; it also outlines the relationship between the Empire and the Federation
* "A Matter of Honor" gives us the backstory of the second officer's father and some idea on how mainstream Klingons define honor and view the Federation
* "Sins of the Father" lays the groundwork for the whole political game involving the Houses of Duras and Mogh
* "Reunion" brings that to a dramatic turning point
* "Redemption" shows where this gets the Empire
* "Rightful Heir" solidifies Gowron's rule

In addition, "Mind's Eye" is an important lead-in to "Redemption". But "The Emissary" and "Birthright" are mainly Worf stories rather than Empire ones. "Firstborn", too.

You might also have to include DSN into the arc, as we see the end of Gowron's rule in that show. So what started with the succesion of Gowron in reunion end in "Tacking into the Wind"
