Kirstie Alley - no Trekbbs support for DWTS?

Did a quick check ---i didn't see any apparent support for Kirstie Alley, who has made it to the final 3 for Dancing With The Stars?

i'm surprised there isn't some coordinated effort by Trek fans to vote for the first Saavik.

The finale is tonight and the last chance to vote...

Can someone let me know if i'm wrong...

the reason why you wouldn't see Dancing with the stars here on trekbbs is becuase its on the same time as many other favorite shows are.

but just a side note, that show is all about popularity. Thats what my sister and father say, who watch I don't. I get easily annoyed with singing and dancing commercials.

I don't watch DWTS, and I tend to think of Kirstie Alley on Cheers more than Star Trek. Oh yeah, and I don't like her either...

If they get William Shatner then I might tune in. He's probably too old though, maybe Frakes.

I'm somewhat of a fan of DWTS. Don't watch that much of it, but I'm cheering for Kirstie in the finals . She's been doing a good job so far, and I'm proud of the fact that she hasn't given up.

Love the shows that show these competitions, and only a few days ago Kristie Alley was on the Jay Leno show and looking good the entire time she was there.

She does receive my vote, although she is unlikely IMO to make it passed the final round.

And if you don't watch DWTS and American Idol, how do you hook up with twenty-one year old girls the next day?

No, but when a Trek alum is involved in something else in addition to Trek, usually there's some interest shown.

With all the Trek fans, and their attachment to technology like text messages & computers, could have an influence of her winning (if we so desired). i don't think her votes are just from those who like to see the older people (and i can't believe she's 60!) make it to the finals.

Seriously, she is far more famous for Cheers and her other roles after WOK. I really couldn't care less. I suspect most posters think the same. Many posters don't visit the Trek forums anymore...
