The title says it all. How would Kirk handle The Borg? And how would Picard handle Khan?
Picard would invoke the 24th century version of the Prime Directive and leave the Botany Bay adrift in space where he found it.
That's easy to believe given he was ready to do essentially the same thing in TNG's first season. "The Neutral Zone" wasn't it?Picard would invoke the 24th century version of the Prime Directive and leave the Botany Bay adrift in space where he found it.
Assuming FC still happened, Kirk would have set the ship to self destruct about an hour in. Or he would have seduced the Queen.
'Oh James, show me this earth action you call 'kissing''
Picard would have talked Khan into a coma and then locked him up... or Khan kills Picard to shut him up.
Picard would have recognized Khan immediately and left him frozen.
Kirk would not have asked Q for help, and he and the Enterprise would have been destroyed.
Picard would have recognized Khan immediately and left him frozen.
Knowing this, the writers cleverly made sure that it was Kirk vs. Khan and Picard vs. the Borg, for they make for better stories.
Buh-bye, now.
...actually, Kirk would have asked for help as well. You don't become a starship captain by being a fool.
Picard would have recognized Khan immediately and left him frozen.
PICARD: Data, search all historical records and determine who these people are.
DATA : They are a group of genetically enhanced humans who were exiled forever on charges of tyranny and mass murder.
PICARD: Set course for the nearest rehabilitation colony.
WESLEY: Don't you want to revive some of them, out of curiosity?
PICARD: Shut up, Wesley. We'll have these people safely contained before they are revived for their mandatory social readjustment.
