Kirk in the Antimatter Universe... No Kablammo??

It would probably have helped if they could have re-edited and reshot the location stuff, and/or done it with an actor who had actually had time to prepare for his role. The aimless wanderings and multiple fallings from cliffs detract from the story...

Just giving the actor enough time to read the script properly, and to develop tellingly different mannerisms for the two different Lazari, would have done wonders. That, and consistent makeup to tell the two apart.

^^Exactly.

Like I said before, this episode had great story potential, but was executed very poorly.

A good TV episode or film needs to be more than just a good plot (and I think The Alternative Factor had a great plot). A good TV episode or film needs to be well-executed -- i.e., good dialogue, good story-pacing, well-acted, and well-directed.

This episode definitely lacked good acting and good dialogue. Plus, even though the story IDEA was good, the story-telling itself was not.
