Well it’s a little late for all that, season two has been in the can for awhile.

Paul Wesley’s take on Kirk didn’t really resonate with me in S1, but lets give him a chance and see if he grows into the role.

As others said it's already a done deal. I bet we also eventually, in another show, get either the first 2 years of Kirk's 5 year mission or the last. Whichever 2 they decide we never originally saw.

Having 70% of the TOS crew was a bad idea. I wish this was one of those situations the actors could have been changed and Paul Wesley was only doing a filler role. He was quite atrocious as Kirk.
