Kirk, Blackshirt, what's that all about?

Two words: product placement. You'll be able to buy them for $49.99 at startrekXIstuff.com soon.

I say the same for Zoe Saldana.:shifty: Come on. It's the 2260s. If we haven't gotten over our hangups concerning bare titty in the workplace by then, to hell with us.

If she did go topless hangups or not, I wouldn't get a lot of work done. It's bad enough I'm left in a room alone with Google and expected to get results.

This may be the shortest thread ever.

Wern't the Blackshirt reserved for Cadets? I thought I read that somewhere.

If so at some point in the movie he is still a cadet while on the Enterprise, and doesn't that start another canon break?

If we try really hard, it could get longer. :techman:

I gotta agree with Rear Admiral P-Knight, I'm thinkin' that most of the characters are gonna be wearin that black T underneath their uniform top.
(??Is there such a thing as a Front Admiral??)

Yes, there is such thing as a "Front Admiral." Or at least there was. It comes from the same origins as the RADM. In the past, fleets like the British Navy would send out flotillas (sans sombreros) that would be large enough that a few admirals would be in attendance in the flotilla. Each Admiral had a position and level of authority. There was the read adiral, generally the lesser of the two rank wise, and the "Fore Admiral" who usually was the admiral of said fleet in charge of everything.

flanking flag officers were commonly commodores respectfully. As world navies modernized, the term rear admiral was retained to identify the new ranking structure instead of a position, and the fore admiral title was dropped for just admiral.

Gee, a black shirt - that's quite unusual. I wonder what % of the world's population actually own a black shirt.

Maybe 99.9% of non-cadets?

They ought to give away free Kirk shirts on opening night at some theaters as a premium to those who stand in line on the first evening.
