Kirk and Uhura are going to hook up in the next film...WATCH

1bulma1

Lieutenant Commander
So I just picked up the recent star trek ongoing issue which takes place in the new timeline and I am telling you that Spock is an ignorant tool.

In Star Trek Ongoing 8, Kirk indirectly tells Spock that he would sleep with Uhura tens times over and Spock does not respond.

So my guess for the romantic plot in the 2013 film is this:

Uhura will realise that Spock is just to Vulcan (robotic) for her and will dump him of Kirk.
Spock will then decide that the best choice for him is to follow his father’s footsteps and purge all of his emotions like he originally intended to do. I mean he would have done that in the first film if not of his mother.

I am not kidding this is the romantic plot of this sequel.

Most people are saying that Alice eve will be a romantic interest for Kirk but I doubt it. Alice Eve is probably playing a klingon.

That's reading something that isn't there.

What happened was that Kirk got chewed out by Pike for his latest adventure and Kirk said he'd preferred to face Uhura's wrath ten times ove (Uhura had just earlier chewed out Spock for risking his life on a very dangerous mission).

I suggest you read harry potter and watch buffy. the dialogue in this issue had a lot of subtext in it.

What happened in the latest comic is a foreshadowing of the upcoming events in the 2013 film.

I strongly think S/U are going to break up in the second film.

Maybe in your imagination. Otherwise, you just made a mistake and jumped to the wrong conclusion.

Well, you missed issue #6 where Kirk confined both Spock and Uhura to shared quarters where towards the end, you see Spock sitting on a bed, wearing skivvies and Uhura on the same bed wearing.....nothing. Perhaps Spock didn't react because (and this is what those who just saw the 2009 movie only don't realize) he is a Vulcan, and Vulcans generally do not react unless they are "compromised," i.e. Pon Farr, great loss. Spock is not going to react to Kirk's silliness. Give Uhura credit. She's not going to swoon over Kirk's silly overtures either. She is not Kirk's leading cheerleader as some like to make her out to be. Look for the Spock/Uhura relationship to continue. Amanda (Spock's mother) and a human didn't thing that Sarek was robotic. He was something that a lot human males find hard to do, and that's faithful, caring, considerate, attentive, protective, constant, not prone to irrationality, and being that Vulcans are stronger, well, the Vulcan sex must have been hot!!!!!! (I'd love it if Mr. Trekkie2 were a Vulcan.) I wouldn't count out Carol Marcus, she was in the first draft before they realized it was grabbing at straws to make her Kirk's childhood sweetheart. However, in the original script, someone "special" did walk out on him, leaving him to act the idiot. Marcus, his mother dying, we don't know?

NAH, Kirk is the Captain, there is no way, Kirk and Uhura will get together, IMHO.

Besides, you can totally tell from all the looks, it's Spock, Kirk is interested in

Slash will always be in fanfiction for teen girls to live out their fantasies.

However on screen where the screen writers are trying to write a script that does not look like fan fiction or those awful twilight books.:scream:

The S/U relationship is likely to fall apart.

thats all am saying

Hey, what about McCoy. He's had three years of looking at that ass. :guffaw:

I'm not going to disagree with that slash statement, however, there are older women who write slash (but they probably started out as teenagers too!). And I can tell that you are a K/U shipper in fanfiction.

The S/U relationship is liable to have problems, what relationship doesn't? (I bet you that troublesome little female Vulcan clawed her way out of the rubble of Vulcan). And Spock is dealing with the death of his mother (which is something that might spur friendship between he and Kirk).

Have you given this thought? Kirk may be saying that to divert any attention away from who he really is sleeping with.......McCoy! Who isn't drawn to that dark and brooding Dr?

Having said that, and with the insinuation that white is the new Indian, I couldn't tell you where Mr. Lost on the Island's head is at, right now. Any which way, I wouldn't count on K/U (she'd kill him).

I have to say that this is a refreshing, pick me up thread, compared to the other one going.

I love S/U together...I just think that Spock is becoming more Vulcan by the minute instead of more human.

ItS kind of a drag since both Sarek and Spock Prime told him to embrace his humanity more.

I don't dispute the possibility that there may be trouble in paradise regarding Spock/Uhura relationship, but, Kirk/Uhura is extremely unlikely

I'm betting on Khan being that third point in the Uhura/Spock love fest. I mean I'm begging for it. :D

He can embrace his humanity without forsaking his Vulcan heritage. He's just got to understand that what is logical isn't always right.

She does have a certain look on her face when she shoots the pasty white boy. Maybe Spock saved her from his white supremacist attitude where he thinks he's entitled to anything and anyone. And you know, once you go Vulcan, you never go pasty white.

Ugh, if anything as childish and inane as "Kirk and Uhura hooking up" happens in the movie, I will throw my popcorn and walk out. :rommie: I can maybe forgive the rumors about who Cumberbund is playing but not that.

Besides, you can totally tell from all the looks, it's Spock, Kirk is interested in

Half a century of tradition doesn't lie. :bolian:

Well, she does go for guys with unusual looks, like Spock, but Cumberbund is downright fugly. Maybe she thinks he's got that Elephant Man disease and feels sorry for him? Either that, or she needs glasses.

I don't care for the Kirk/Uhura hookup. That would be too predictable, and too much of a cop-out.

The next film seems to be already taking the easy route of re-using Khan, so they should at least continue exploring something we haven't seen before in the franchise with the aforementioned relationship.

Agreed. He may have bulked up for the part, but quite honestly, he can keep that shirt on and hoodie zipped up to the neck, and the opening pulled shut.

Cumberbund is downright fugly.

As a guy whose been told many, many times in his life that he's "fugly" - and much worse - even by total strangers passing in the street, I can only reiterate that I'd swap looks with Benedict any day.

Really, can we please not be so insulting about people's looks? It's downright hurtful, whether you know them or not, and whether the person you're aiming it at can hear it or not. Because the rest of us read your comment, and some of us experienced the wrath of your judgement over what you find acceptable male beauty. I'm helpless to change your view. Thank goodness I don't have to deal with you personally, on a day to day basis.

Maybe no one has ever insulted you about an aspect of yourself you couldn't do anything to change (beyond expensive plastic surgery). In which case you are very, very fortunate. I mean, I can try to be more punctual. I can lose weight. I can learn to be tidy, or more generous to the needy. But I can't easily make my face less ugly. Beauty is supposed to come from within. Doesn't help much sometimes.

I know, I shouldn't take your comments so personally. They weren't directed at me. I might not take it so personally tomorrow. Or yesterday. But come on, the guy is an actor. If society says he must be "a character actor" he has the talent to do it.

Or should only non-"fugly" actors be on your cinema screen?

Eh...I' ve never drooled over him, and I've mostly only seen stills of him with a serious stoic look, never watched him on a show or moving period. His face is rather long looking, but, the weight appears to be changing that, from pics I've seen since then, plus the bangs is another trick to give his face an impression of being smaller. With his "Super Hero Jawline" and the really pretty eye color, plus those aesthetic changes, I think we may be surprised what Movie Magic can make him look like. I'm not expecting to drool after seeing him in the movie either, but, I suspect he won't be "strange looking" anymore and may be very "Biff" looking.

Therin of Andor, I'm very sorry people have abused you like that, I value your posts, many times you've corrected my faux pas with information that's almost right. You should be valued for your smarts not abused for what others perceive as shortcomings.
