I'd say the iPhone is more like a PADD. And, with the boom in homemade aps being added every day, it's only going to be more so.

That is, in fact, my only issue with using an iPhone as an e-reader. I want something at least the size of a paperback.
So wait for Kindle 3?![]()
The iPhone/iPod Touch make terrible book readers. Keeping the screen on that long while you rread really does drain the battery. You'll get about 3 hours in which to read and then it'll need a charge.I'd say the iPhone is more like a PADD. And, with the boom in homemade aps being added every day, it's only going to be more so.

Can you give us any details, like where to preorder?I am playing around with a colour e-book reader at the moment, it's not quite ready for market but it's amazing - I've been reading comics on it and the experience beats paper hands down.

Sadly it's supplied by the non-disclosure agreement corporation.![]()
Granted while it isn't anything near as cool as a Kindle. There is an app for the psp that allows one to use it as an Ebook Reader. I've got several ebooks on it, and for such a small screen size its perfectly read-able without my glasses.
Still no color. Though you can underclock it and make the battery last forever.
And for those comic fans (Myself included) out there, there is also another app called PSP Comic. Makes this thing so much more functional!
