KFC

My local KFC always gets my order right and the servers are always polite and helpful. and whenever I go in in my wheelchair, they always offer to bring my food to me instead of shouting out my name.

The only problem I ever have with them is when I pay with my ATM, the damn computer always locks up. It's always me, never anybody else. But I've gotten around that by always taking in cash.

I'm glad your location has some basic humanity. I wouldn't want to know how my KFC would treat you. There is evil in that place. Pure evil.

On the bright side, just went to Tommy's Hamburgers. It's kind of like In-N-Out with a chili fetish. Or I guess it's kind of like a Jermaine Jackson. I mean everyone knows he ain't Michael, and sometimes they forget he exists, but when you actually see him do his thing, he ain't half bad!

Anyway, I ordered for two people. One hamburger with everything, one double cheeseburger with no tomatoes, pickles, or mustard, and one order of regular fries. And what did I get? Exactly that, my double cheeseburger had chili, cheese, and onions, and none of the stuff I don't like. It was an order of magnitude more difficult than what I asked of KFC, yet they didn't fail me. :bolian:

Unfortunately I have some actual work to do today, but hopefully I can get it out of the way so I can write a complaint letter to KFC. Yes, a complaint letter... that should do nicely! Mwahahahahahahaha

Ever consider giving up fast food and adopting a local diner? Not only do you get better food and service you get to flirt with the waitstaff!

Local diners can be good or totally awful.

My experience with fast food, one thing is usually true...it's faster to park and go in then using the drive through.

Also, listening to some morning radio show's stories about employees tampering with food makes me weary of all restaurants now.

I will say that my dad worked at KFC for about a year when he was a teenager, and now he refuses to go there ever again. He says it's because he got sick of eating it so often but I think that he may have some disturbing insider knowledge!

I think that's endemic to working in or near any sort of food service stablishment. All through college and for a few years after, I was a bartender / bar manager, and in the places that served food, I probably couldn't bring myself to eat at any of them again. My junior year of college, while I was working three jobs to build up capital for a business loan, I worked at a video game store that was right next-door to a Subway. Between the smell of the bread permeating the store, and the fact that we were always so consistently busy and / or short-staffed that running to the Subway twice a day for food was a necessity, it took a long time for me to be able to stomach that stuff again.

When they fuck up, call the resturant, ask for the manager and explain what happened and how it went wrong. Be polite, but let them know they fucked up.

The manager can't do give remedial training, can the worst employees, etc unless they are aware of how bad things go.

If the manager is unsympathetic, and you've been polite & reasonable then ask for contact info for the stores general manager or the regional supervisor.

They want your business, and they know that if they fuck up too often they won't have it. Close the feedback loop and see what happens.

They always fuck up my orders. I'm done with them.

I went through the drive thru, ordered a 3 piece chicken strip meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and mac and chee. They asked if I wanted honey/butter for the biscuit, I said yes. When I got home, there was no honey or butter. Oh. And no biscuit. And instead of mac and chee, they give me some beans or something.

How fucking hard is it? I mean, they managed to enter the order correctly, everything on my receipt was correct. I typically check my drive thru orders to make sure they don't screw up, but there's only so much you can do... as in, I see the box where the chicken and biscuit should be, check, I see two containers for sides, check.

Seriously, I think they're at under 50% percent success for getting me the correct order. And it's not like I make huge orders for an entire family. I am ONE FUCKING PERSON. I order ONE FUCKING MEAL.

The McDonald's next door never screws up my order. The taco shop never screws up my order. In-N-Out never screws up my order (though to be fair they pay a couple of extra bucks an hour so that they can avoid hiring the most useless of the useless).

And why is it that all the fast food places force their drive thru monkeys to open with some script to the effect of "Would you like to try our brand new blah blah blah today?" It would almost make sense, except that they universally just mumble whatever new item they're trying to sell you. I can never answer yes to their question because I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEY'RE SAYING!

Fuck you KFC. You're a bottomfeeder, even amongst other ghetto ass fast food joints. I hope your parent company Yum collapses in this economy and your blight is lifted from the world.

I feel for you. These morons around here mess up my order all the time. Another thing, dont have the nastiest worker working the drive thru. I went to a steak and shake down the street one time and the chick at the drive thru had rotted green stumpy teeth. I almost threw up when I saw her smile at me. I couldnt even finish my food knowing yuck mouth had touched the bag.

That, sir, is why I only choose LEE's or Popeye's chicken. :D

I once returned a hamburger to McDonald's. Yes I actually got my dollar back and had to fill out a form. I was so pissed. I hate McDonald's food, except their breakfast, so I went there for breakfast one day. It was about 15 minutes before breakfast ended and as we went through the drive-thru they had the breakfast menu up, regular menu covered. So I order a number 2. And they give me a number 2 off the regular menu. I ask about it and they say "oh we ran out of breakfast a while ago." WTF?? You couldn't tell me that BEFORE I ordered?? And why the hell is the breakfast menu still up if you have no breakfast food? It really pissed me off that they didn't have the decency to inform me when I had ordered.

And another time my family stopped at an Arby's. And we ordered a whole bunch of stuff, we're a big family. And the woman tells us AFTER WE'VE ORDERED, that they are out of roast beef. Yes, that's right! Arby's was out of roast beef!!! The only thing we could order really was mozzarella sticks.

KFC gave me salmonella( in San Diego ), that's all I have to say about that...

I've never actually eaten at KFC. No real reason either, just have no desire to.

It used to be good. I remember back in the 1980s (EARLY 1980s) going to the one by Mechanical Man Car Wash in Norwich and it amazing.

Had some recently, it's too... IDK fast-foodish.

I've never had a problem with the service at KFC.

But I don't eat there often, because a) it's expensive, and b) it's so slo-o-o-w.

We have a brand new KFC that opened within the last couple months. I've gone twice, and the service was great both times.
Just wait it will go down hill fast!

I've had minor problems like you order somthing and they say "We don't have that anymore", yet they still have the signs/posters up advertising they do.
Yes it is pricey, slow and you have to take it home put it in the over for 10-15 to cook out the grease.
and they don't have the Grilled up here is that any good?

Lame as it may be, KFC is a godsend after walking for an hour and a half in scorching heat (with as many idiots as possible trying to run you over at crosswalks) to get your formerly broken-ass car.

Oh, no. The grilled is nasty here. Think overcooked, but slimy.

Your complaint letter reminded me of an incident my mom had when she and I had lunch once at our local Carl's Jr. She wanted a cheeseburger with nothing but ketchup. It took her eight, yes, eight tries to get it. I don't remember the exact problem (This happened in 1987 or 1988), but she went back to the counter so many times, that on the eighth try when her order was still wrong, she said "fuck it", and ate what they gave her. She then proceeded to pull out two of their courtesy cards and instead of filling them out, she wrote a complaint letter that started "This place sucks!! Only pigs would eat here!!". THAT is why I remember the incident. It still makes me laugh:lol:.

Suffice it to say that Carl's closed shortly afterward (and reopened in a new, better spot down the street where we never had any problems), became a Boston Chicken for a couple of years, which was just as bad, then when that failed, the building was torn down, and to this day remains an empty lot.

[pesci]Never go through the drive-thru, always walk up to the counter. You want to know why? Okay, okay, okay...They FUCK YOU at the drive-thru, okay? They FUCK YOU at the drive-thru! They know you're gonna be miles away before you find out you got fucked! They know you're not gonna turn around and go back, they don't care.[/pesci]
