Kevin Smith Wants to Make a Buckaroo Banzai TV Show

And the vast majority of today's audiences, who have no idea what "Buckaroo Banzai" even is, will just react to this show like :wtf:

Kor
If they can bring back The Fog, The Thing and Pirahna they can bring back Buckaroo Banzai. Hell, they're making a TV show out of Time After Time!

Well, that's a whole different can of worms, I was just trying to find projects as obscure as BB. ;)

Wes Anderson gave a pretty good shot at doing a modern version with The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

I don't want to see the old cast as villains though--at least not at first..

I might have them in captivity--the younger cast shown a movie that showed their second exploits against The World Crime Syndicate, if you remember. The old footage is done in a hoky manner.

The younglings then find out that the originals have turned.

They would just be having the actors who played the good guys in the first movies play the bad guys this time, they won't be turning the good guys bad.

Maybe we will finally get to see what the never made sequel film The World Crime Syndicate was going to be all about.
Buckaroo Banzai 1984 film is still interesting. Hopefully, Kevin Smith will make this series worth watching.

^Even funnier if the show constantly references it like it was the most amazing adventure ever, but never shows any of it.

Like the Noodle Incident (Calvin & Hobbes). The more they talk about it, the more ridiculous it sounds without any solid fact.
