I'm sad to say I didn't realise he was still around.

I don't think I've seen him in anything except Invasion of the Body Snatchers, but both his performance and the film are incredible.

While it's very sad to hear he passed away, the biggest shock to me is that he was NINETY-SIX. I had no idea he was that old. I would have thought he was in his 80s, tops, especially since he was still pretty active in movies into at least the early 90s. I remember seeing him as the villain in Martin Short's InnerSpace. And his cameo in the 1978 version of Body Snatchers was a hoot.
