Kellogg's Limted Edition STAR TREK Cereal

I know I haven't found any either in the NYC area...but i desperately need these badges...see now I'll get a little crazy and actually try to collect them all! But at least they are functional...

They're not really badges. They're just small (appx. 2 inches high) pieces of plastic that light up like a very low-powered flashlight. Unless you use a hot gluegun, you're not going to be able to wear it like a badge, either. Which really kinda sucks, but it looks nice on my shelf. lol

Hey, I might have driven all around northern Viriginia looking for Star Trek cereal (put 30 miles on the car doing just that, yesterday), but I wouldn't wear those badges around even if they had clips. I'm obsessive, but not a geek. :shifty:

there must be a huge amount of fans interested in this movie as i just got the last box of cereal at the local stop and shop that had badges.i was there at 8am and the girl there told me they had just put them out today at 7!all but one had sold out in an hour.

I checked the stores for this cereal today, but none were carrying it. They are still displaying Kellogg's High School Musical and Hannah Montana cereals.

i've been looking all over the place for these star trek cereals and there are none to be found anywhere i've looked in the new york area. i even spoke to a couple of friend's who work in supermarket's and no one know's anything about them. any one know of any in this area?

I'm going upsate this weekend I'm going to see if they're stockin em in the sticks...I NEED THESE BADGES DAMMIT and I'll do whatever it takes to get them...anybody got any ideas about what I could give you in exchange for some badges LOL? :guffaw:

I know Wegmans is based in Jersey, but that's all I know. Any a close drive to NYC? I say that because at least the Wegmans in the DC area have cereals with the badges.

Thanks, Franklin! I'll go check out Wegmans... :techman:

wish there were more of them closer to the District :(

The latest issue of Family Fun magazine had an ad for them, with the Romulan and Klingon ones mis-identified/switched.

I worked for a while in a grocery store and sometimes it's a case of what stock the warehouse has to give individual stores. Some warehouses are busy trying to unload cereal manufactured months ago, so some stores may actually never get these cereals. Others may get them a month or two after the movie comes out.

As these are Kellogg's "special event" cereals, some stores may never order them at all because they have limited shelf space and/or are still stuck with all those Hannah Montana and High School Musical cereals from last year...

I was just in Wal Mart during my lunch to finish my set of Galaxy Series figures, and the grocery section there had Kellogg's Corn Flakes with a Collector's Edition box with Star Trek on it (shirt offer on back). The photos on the box are of Kirk and Spock, and it looks really cool!

I found the tee-shirt one in a Giant near me in NOVA.

wait, my mistake. it was actually in a Safeway/Townhouse in DC, near Dupont Circle.

Now, I await the shirt to come in the mail! I hold out hope that it will arrive by the time I see the movie on May 7 (or on IMAX on May 8), but I'm not hinging my fashion choice on it for those days, just in case.

For all we know, we'll get the shirts, flash drives and free movie tickets in time for XII!

(Posting this here too)

Look what I managed to score, beeyotches!

I got these same two last night from Corn Pops. Fruit loops had nothing yet...corn flakes just has the flash drive and rice krispies had a t-shirt... They are little flashlights as someone else previously stated but they're really not all that great...and I know this first hand because last night my ferrett got into my landlords filthy laundry room and I grabbed that to go find him and it was pretty sucky...my bullshit keychain light was better...but agreed it does look really cute in my entertainment center propped up on my TOS pez dispenser set....
For the guy with the turtle avatar they're in stop and shop in Nassau Cty if you're near there. ...now what the hell am I going to do with all this cereal that I'll be compulsively buying over the next few weeks/months....not to mention Burger King...I better sign up for two nights of beach volleyball instead of one ;)

Why didn't I think of Walmart...DUH!! I dropped 10 bucks on friggin cereal last night that I don't even like.

I just picked up a box of Frosted Flakes and got a sexy Command-Gold one! Woohoo!

"Limited Edition" is BS.

I'm waiting for the "Ultimate Extended Edition" cereal with bonus flavors and exclusive crunch sound.

Well, they just really shoulda known better!

There is now a special collector's box of "Star Trek" Corn Flakes by Kellogg's. It has a picture of Spock and Kirk (in gold shirt) on it (Quinto and Pine, of course). Kellogg's Corn Flakes' slogan has been, "The original and the best." It's printed on every box. I got a wry smile seeing it on this box of "Star Trek" Corn Flakes with Spock and Kirk on it though, because it can take on so many different meanings.

I bought the cereal at a Wegman's near Dulles in northern Viriginia. I'd imagine the boxes are in other Wegman's.

Grrr... it seems that this Star Trek cereal is only available in America -- Kellogg's Canada isn't participating in it. Too bad -- I mean, I have no idea if it would be any good, but I think it would make a neat collectible! :D

I'm not sure if there are any products here with a tie-in promotion for the movie... I haven't in the cereal aisle in weeks, nor do I regularly purchase pop tarts or anything like that. I'll probably go shopping in the next day or so -- I'll be keeping my eyes open.

The Australian tie-in Kellogs toy was a little soft "warp" ball which measures how fast you throw it. My kittens love it.
