Keeping track of new and upcoming releases?

Hi,

I was wondering how you all keep track of new and upcoming releases. I've just gone through Amazon and pre-ordered 5 new books coming out this year, and I'm scared of missing something. I'm also concerned if I've missed anything from the last couple of years.

What's your best way of becoming aware of an upcoming release, and keeping track of what releases out there? Do you any of you keep some kind of spreadsheet or anything to keep track of which books you have collected and which you are missing?

Apologies if this has been asked before, I could not find a post. For that matter, I also could not find my account! I remember using this website some 20-odd years ago, but I'm not even sure what my e-mail address was back then, haha.

Thanks for your help :)

For Pocket Book/Gallery releases I generally check MA, they tend to be pretty up-to-date. For the Cross Cult stuff I usually go to their website or startrekromane.de where they have a chronological list of their releases. This BBS is also pretty good to get any news when they break, but not so much to keep track of what all the future releases at the same time.

I also used to check the Trek Collective's list of upcoming releases, but stopped when they took some time off a few years back.

You will see review threads pop up here for pretty much every new book.

My method is to put the titles into my overall reading tracking spreadsheet when they are announced. When it gets close to the release date, I will either put it on a library hold or put it in the section of books to be read later.

Thanks very much to you both for your replies.

Jinn, those Trek Collective lists look quite comprehensive! One question, what do you mean by the acronym MA?

Thanks again!

Memory Alpha. The Upcoming Productions page specifically.

And if you’re looking for “recent” instead of “upcoming” look at the pages for each production year. Like “2020 (production)”.
