Kazon Territory

The Kazon shook of the Trabe only 50 years before they met Voyager.

3 generations?

Garrisoning and colonizing planets takes babies.

Even if they could displace trillions of people who are slightly less advanced than the Kazon, what are the Kazon going to do with living room for 10s of trillions, of Kazon when there might be only a few million in total, if they are a completely space faring race who do not bother with planets, and all of them fit uncomfortably into less than a hundred broke down falling apart City Ships.

Kazon Adam and Eve didn't poof into existence 3 generations earlier. They probably control all the worlds the trabe controlled, which are probably a bunch of colonies, mining colonies, etc. If they were able to take over one populated planet in a slave revolt and keep it, they are capable of anything.

Voyager plays by Star Trek's rules, where civilizations span multiple planets. If we are to believe other series and films, it would take years to cross the Federation.
Can you think of a time on screen when someone says explicitly it takes years for a ship of average capabilities to cross the UFP?

Voyager encountered the last Kazon 1.5 years after they started, and it was because they were being followed by them.
This makes sense. Voyager had technology they wanted fought them. The Kazon had good reason to follow Voyager. It makes sense the Kazon could keep up because Voyager didn't know that area of space and didn't have any support/supply network. That actually helps explain Kazon behavior. Imagine they are a year's travel from home primarily for the purpose of defeating Voyager and getting its technology. It would be like Hannibal crossing the Alps to fight Rome. It will be a long trip if they have to go home empty handed.

As for your information, I can recommend a visit to the Kes Website and the page "Voyager maps"

They are actually the maps from the book "Star Charts" by Geoffrey Mandel.

However, I've edited some of them slightly to include the places from the Voyager seasons 1-3 and to correct some obvious errors from the book itself.

But the maps will give an accurate picture of the Kazon Territory and Voyager's route through it.

I think we're forgetting that Voyager took a BIG detour backwards toward the end of season 1... in "JETREL", when they went to Talax. Any progress they made up to that point was nullified, and started basically from scratch again.

And if I remember correctly, they made some good sized detours in other episodes in the first two seasons... "EYE OF THE NEEDLE", I think was one where Kim said "A significant detour."

So with them detouring and backtracking, I can easily see the Kazon showing up as much as they did in season 1 and 2.

No.

But Captain Neelix had a shitty little ship, so how far could he have gone from home without capsizing?
[Bridge]

CHAKOTAY: That's a significant detour, Captain.
JANEWAY [OC] I'm aware of that, Commander.

[Ready room]

JANEWAY: But it may mean saving Neelix's life.
CHAKOTAY [OC]: Understood.
JANEWAY: I'll send a message to Talax requesting permission to transport material from the cloud. In the meantime, Lieutenant Torres in Engineering can give you a hand with the transporter modifications.

I thought it was months out of their way.

But they are in subspace radio range of Tallax to (maybe) speak in real time?

Unless Tallax set up a communication network that survived the war?
