I thought Katy Perry was kinda cool when she first came out, but the more her profile raised and the more her songs and videos were played, the more I filed her away in my Pop(ular) Artists File along with many chart kings and queens that I know, but don't really follow. But her recent song, "Roar," really struck a chord with me both musically and lyrically, so I have to give her major props.
