Kate Mulgrew - Orange is the New black

Great News! Hope this increases the chances of Orange, Kate, and Uzo being nominated for Emmy Awards, as well as Laverne Cox. An interesting tie, as Allison Janney is a favorite of mine too, but not nearly as much as Kate.

Question for those who watched. Was Kate there in person to accept her award?

I've been really enjoying binging on season one this week, and very pleased in particular with Kate's involvement. Excellent casting and performance... so glad for her and her success.
The show is awesome, too! I certainly don't consider it a comedy, though. It's a fairly dark drama with comedic features.
 
That's great, if you haven't seen it before you are in for a treat going straight into season 2! Yeah it has humour but it's of course dark and often sad.

Interesting how they separated Uzo and Kate into separate categories (regular vs guest star). They will be competing head to head next year (2015 will be when the awards for season 2 are handed out).
