Kassidy Yates and Mister Eddington

Its obvious Mister Eddington knew Yates worked for the Maquis but what about vice versa?

Probably not, since Eddington was big on keeping secrets and laying traps.

Kind of funny how Sisko forgave Yates so quickly for working for the Maquis and no one else though. Maybe Eddington and Hobbs should have slept with him, that'd forgive everything.

Was Yates an explicit member of the Maquis, or was she more a sympathiser who actively helped? That is, if that makes any difference.

I can imagine Sisko forgave her easier than Hobbs and Eddington, since she was a civilian and not actually fighting, while the other 2 were turncoat Starfleet officers, and in Eddington's case, he actively 'betrayed' Sisko, by stealing those replicators under Sisko's watch.

Who's this Hobbs chap? Any relation to Calvin Hudson?

Yep, I'm sure if were bangin the fudge, then he'd have forgiven Eddington alot quicker

I always found Yates' perspective on The Maquis a little murky. It seemed like she wasn't quite a supporter or even a sympathizer. Can someone clear this up for me? I got the feeling that she helped them either unknowingly, or under blackmail. If so, that certainly explains why Sisko would consider her involvement with them a lot less offensive than that of Eddington.

Well what was she 'trading' with the Maquis? Was she dropping off innocuous supplies like food and medicine? Or was it things like weapons? I'd say the choice of cargo could make a difference in terms of severity of involvement.

Yeah, that's the other possibility...maybe she was just helping them out of the kindness of her heart, which is a lot less punishable than helping them with combat. Again, I'm not sure...either because I just wasn't paying enough attention when I watched the episode about this, or because it just wasn't explained very clearly. I hope others will attest to the latter being true, or else I just look lazy. :p

I think she was just smuggling medical supplies and stuff.

Her working for the Maquis was a tacked-on contrivance to begin with, so it makes sense it was dropped as quickly.
