quick reply, yes I quite agree, she looks alot better without the jacket, that really is the only thing new about the image.
What's up with that jacket? I thought it was Matt Smith who had the bad fashion sense?
Oddly enough, the more I look it, the more it looks like it's Photoshopped on.

Which reminds me. When those first couple of photos were sent out to the Media the text with them mentioned that she was not "in costume". which suggests that there might be something notable about the real clothes she'll be wearing in the show. (A period outfit? A futuristic one?)

this is true the other week, I saw a girl in my local shopping centre, who looked like she had stepped out of an alt reality 80s, that looks exactly what the 80s looks like on TV, was kinda strange, all I could think when I saw her was "you do know this isnt the 80s dont you?"

Maybe the jacket makes it seem like a less obvious ripoff of Twilight. The look and ages of the two of them seem designed to duplicate the look to appeal to the same teeny/tweeny crowd. The jacket doesnt to much to change the look, but at least its a slight shift away from it.

Well, just because the magazine shot is a different pose from the 2 originals, it still doesn't mean the jacket is real. I'd be more inclined to believe the wardrobe in the DWM shot was also sans jacket like the others.
there is no logical reason to do that, but on the picture there is some odd pixelation, around the hair/jacket area.
ive include the two photos for you guys to compare, not at all an excuse to post them again.
