Karen Gillan Talks Jean Shrimpton

I always thought a key element of a "Mary Sue" was being a stand-in/ idealized version of the author. Does Moffat see himself as a leggy redhead with a sharp tongue?
 
You're only partially right. And she does have attributes in common with SM, as in being TOTALLY AWESOME AND SCOTTISH!!1!
 
personally, i've never seen Rose or Amy as being a Mary Sue at all.

I think people throw the term around just because they don't like the characters.

it's like the TV Tropes trope: You Keep Using That Word...
