I don't do karaoke. Karaoke is to entertainment as masturbation is to sex. Except that masturbation isn't usually done in front of a bunch of loud, drunken assholes. (I'm being environmentally conscious by recycling this post from May 2010.)

I am not a fan of long Karoke songs. It gets tedious to be polite to someone who is hurting my ear drums for well over five minutes.

So Ballad of the Alamo is beyond all question. Like almost all the story telling songs with a great many lyrics.

I guess "American Pie" is definitely out, then.

It's different when you are in a karaoke booth with your friends and not doing the stage thing. That's the only kind I've done and it's very fun and not much different than my family xmas huddled around youtubes yelling singing
