Kanji symbols

Rÿcher

Fleet Captain
hey yall.

I'm looking for the Kanji symbol for imagination. If you know what it is and know where to find it or have one, could you link to it or post it here?

thanks.

oh

my

god

:brickwall:

Individuals vs. google again?

I'd sooner trust YOU than google. Get it?

I'm not gonna trust some image I see on google that may or may not be "imagination" which very well mean "my anal gasses have a floral aroma" and have them really bow toward me at the Chinese buffet trying to get a whiff of my lily scented ass because they saw some idiot walk into their restaurant who trusted google because some idgit wanted to be a wise ass on the board.

See that butterfly go by?

Did you click on the link? It's kind of a website devoted to Kanji symbols.

The other fun thing about search engines is, you can cross-reference your results. Look them up on multiple websites and see if they match.

When it comes to language, search engines aren't always reliable. 空想 is a verb meaning to fantasise or daydream. 空想力 would be the power to fantasise. And if you want imagination, it would be 想像力.

hey, don't worry if you get it wrong, just track down a Japanese chick with a bad english tattoo, it'll be the start of a good relationship

You know, I was ok with this until I got to this part

...who trusted google because some idgit wanted to be a wise ass on the board.

This is MISC, not TNZ. Leave the insults out of your replies. If his post got you as worked up as evidenced here, then it's time to look at another site or get up and go take a walk or something. Posting in the heat of anger is never a good thing.

I don't speak or read Japanese. I don't know if those symbols accurately represent the word I'm trying to convey.

I was hoping someone would come along who might be able to read Japanese who could help out.

I have tried Google. There are a number of conflicting symbols.

Um, actually I'd rather trust google (+ cross-referencing like mentioned) than some random poster on TrekBBS who may or may not be screwing with you and/or know what he's talking about.

edit: btw why do you prefer Kanji to Chinese?

Actually, there are also a multitude of characters (and their combination) that can mean the same thing or different levels of the same thing (or even permutations). I learn Chinese but I think the underlying issue is the same with Japanese kanji. What Rÿcher wants to convey may not be captured precisely by one set available on google. I find with E-Asian languages it is always best to talk to an individual who knows the meaning than randomly google or even consult a dictionary.

And you trust people who you continously insult to give you accurate information?

For all you know we could tell you the symbol for "jackass".

I'll go with this one
