Yes, a few bodies hit the floor, but no one that mattered and only one of them was a character we actually could name. At least, this last one was a take-out that was a little less predictable.
So both Raylan and Boyd lose what they really wanted--to varying degrees-- but not that much really changed. It pales in comparison to last year's finale, but oh well; they can't all be gems.
I felt it was a bit anticlimactic as well. I was sort of expecting Raylan to take Micky out himself, but also liked how he orchestrated it all without pulling the trigger himself. It was a contrast to the beginning of the season where he was just wasting baddies left and right.
Speaking of wasting baddies...best scene of the season right here.
Yeah, that was pretty spectacular. My only problem with that was that the baddie should've been able to feel the gun she had, since he was holding right against him. Surely he would have felt or seen the gun. Or maybe he didn't think she had the nerve to shoot.
I liked this year's finale a lot more than last year's. It had a very tragic quality to it. The ending with Boyd looking out at the yard he'll never have and then Raylan eying his father's grave was devastating.
