Well the first tangible news about the 'Justice League' on Blu-Ray/DVD has emerged. There's no details as to running time or content. I am curious about something. The film was released worldwide in mid/late November. According to this story from the same site as the above, the digital download will be available at the end of the month whilst the Blu-Rays won't surface for another two.

Why do you think there is such a gap between the digital download & home video releases of the film and do you think this could have some bearing on whether we get additional cuts to the film?

They usually officially announce these things well in advance, so I don't think the rumors that digital release will be this month are true. The bluray in March sounds plausible, and digital will probably be only a few weeks before that, as is normal these days.

We'll find out soon, an official announcement should be out in the next few weeks if that's the case.

While not yet usually such a delay between the two, it is a growing trend. The main reason, as always, is money. While the absolute cost of physical media is small, it is many times the cost of digital downloads and streaming. Pushing consumers to non-physical media is more profitable and gives studios more control.

Nevermind I have my answer. They're not releasing any additional cuts of the film on Blu-Ray, just bonus scenes .
Here is the official announcement:

I'd also say that there was no substantial criticism of Cavill and/or Affleck once BvS was out. People didn't necessarily like the direction of their characters, but both Cavill and Affleck were mostly praised for their performances.
In BvS - the actual actors were fine - a lot of the written material they were given to perform on the screen was the problem.

Yeah, I actually remember being surprised how much I liked Affleck as Batman. I still don't want him to leave the role.

Agreed. In fact, if they can't get Affleck back, I don't think that they should even bother with any further Btman solo movies for the time being. I wanted to see another solo Batman movie BECAUSE I wanted to see more of Affleck's Batman. If they have to recast again, just leave it for a while and work on developing the rest of the DC universe. Give us a chance to forget about both Affleck and Bale.

Eh, I didn't hate the movie, just ambivalent about it. Mostly, I don't think they did a good job setting up the threat level. Villain was kinda nothing, never felt like any danger or challenge. It just sorta happened. Then spent the whole movie assembling the team, with quick cgi fight at the end as payoff.

Nothing about the movie was BAD, exactly, just didn't really register as a big deal, either. Maybe it's just setup for the next one, but wasn't much to this installment...

Since the movie has come to the discount theater (which is only a mile & a half from my house), I've seen it a couple more times. I think it gets better on repeat viewings. I've upped my grade from a D- to a C+. Steppenwolf is still kind of a lame villain but he gets the job done. I appreciate the chemistry between the team a lot more, even though the whole thing feels pretty sudden.

Thinking some more about Superman's CGI upper lip, the good news is that it never looks fake. It just never quite looks like him. It looks like maybe the novocaine hasn't worn off or like he's wearing prosthetic teeth or something. But the only really bad shot is, unfortunately, the first shot of the movie where the kids are interviewing him. There's also some bits in the mid-credits scene at the end where he's racing the Flash that don't look quite right. And then there are some shots during the big final fight with Steppenwolf where he's clearly entirely CGI. But it's not nearly as much of a problem as some of the early reviews of the film made it out to be.

But what makes me more sympathetic to the movie as a whole is Batman. Batman is just always awesome and I still love Jeremy Irons as Alfred. He's such a catty bitch! ;) J.K. Simmons is also awesome as Commissioner Gordon and I really want to just see a proper Batman movie with this cast! Especially if they can also bring in Jared Leto's Joker at some point.

But even if he's just being used as a part of BvS or Justice League, my feeling is: "It's a movie with Batman in it! How bad can it be?" (Thinks about Batman & Robin.) "Don't answer that." :p

There had better be an ultimate edition of this movie... with the scenes that were cut... hopefully making it a better film and re-rendering Henry Cavill's face. Good Lord was that CGI removal of the mustache horrible. There's a YT video of a guy using a $300 used computer to CG render Cavill's mustached face and it turned out about 1000 times better than what was on screen.

They already said that there will be no cuts released other than the theatrical.
