Just think about this for a minute. Just think...

I'm drunk and I just watched the ending to Star Trek III. The bit where Spock says "You came back for me" and Kirk replies "You would have done the same for me." Lovely.

That's what Spock's doing in the new film I reckon.

Ban me for spamming the boards with horseshit if you want. Watching that and thinking about the new movie tugged my heartstrings a liittle.

Sweet. I think it is a great topic.

Another scene I've been recently thinking about in relation to future Spock retuning to the past is the one where, in ST2, upon hearing the ship is doomed he suddenly turns to face the camera with that; 'I know what I have to do', look.

If young Spock does meet his future self in the new movie then that suggests he fore-knew he would somehow survive sticking his face into the warp reactor.

I do not remember the title but I vaguely recall some novel after ST3 which was beating around the bush implying some major event had occurred in the past which put everyone on high alert to be on the lookout for some future event that would fulfill destiny and explain the comradely of this particular crew. Looks like we have found it.

I wonder what he'd come up with sober?!:alienblush:
Vaguely interesting idea. I never thought of watching it drunk. The only time I did that was Pink Floyd's The Wall before the root canal meds wore off.

Hang on I meant Star Trek IV. Or II. You know, the one where they blow up the death star.
No, that was Star Trek I, which was Star Trek IV actually, where Spock has transferred his Katra to Kirk just before dieing in the lightsabre battle and then Kirk hears his voice when he's about to torpedo the Death Star... Wait a second... Oh fuck.
