I've primarily been a TOS/TNG/DS9 fan, but VOY has had a special place in my heart as it was the only series I watched from start to finish during its actual run. It also got my friend into Trek. Whilst I never liked it as much as DS9, it always kept me entertained, and I also liked the EMH, Seven, Janeway and B'Elanna.
In Europe (and Australia maybe?) there has been a new release of Voyager DVDs. Since they're cheaper than what they have been (about £80 on first release!) I finally picked up season 1.
I'd seen Caretaker loads of times before (it was one of about 5 Trek VHS I owned way back when) and enjoyed it enough, but it was my first viewing of Parallax since 1996!
It was like a brand new episode. Okay, it was full of technobabble - the last 10 minutes or so were a total mess. I was loving the character interaction though; everyone was finding their feet in the Starfleet/Maquis jumble. I also never noticed how early Seska was actually introduced.
I can't wait to watch more. Although Time and Again was a bit poo (or my memory of it was), at least there is Phage and Eye of the Needle coming up!
