Just started VOY! What do I have to look forward to?

Like what’s the best characters? The best episodes? The best memes? I’m excited to watch this show I’ve heard good things about it

I like the technobabble and the similes.

I'm guessing you plan to "binge" the entire show episode by episode. That seems to be what people do nowadays. If so then just keep in mind that this show was from a time when most TV was "episodic." And like all 90s "Trek," it takes a couple seasons to get really good. For "Voyager," Season 3 is when it gets consistently good, and Season 4 is when it finds itself and really takes off.

Here's what you have to look forward to:

• The Doctor
• Seven of Nine
• Tom and B'Elanna's relationship
• Tom and Harry's friendship
• Other great friendships like Seven and Naomi, Chakotay and Janeway, Chakotay said B'Elanna, Janeway and Tuvok
• Captain Proton!
• The Borg
• Some damn creative time-travel and space anomalies
• Some guest stars, particularly on Seasons 5 and 6
• Some absolutely hilarious comedy episodes and just one-off interactions

Here's what you'll have to endure for the first two seasons:

• Some wildy inconsistent characterizations. Particularly from Neelix, B'Elanna and Janeway. All get solid personalities by Season 3
• Neelix and Kes's creepy, arguably abusive relationship
• The Kazon
• Some...interesting attempts at dramatic serialized plot lines.

That said, even those first two seasons have some good stuff in them. Some great episodes from the first two seasons. One especially beloved episode even by those who generally dislike the early seasons is "The Thaw" (Season 2).
