And IMO, Azati Prime is one of the best episodes in Trek.

Season Two was a let down for me, I'm not sure if it was the writers or just the story lines they chose.

Hated both ANIS and Azati Prime. both could have been fairly good episodes with the deletion of some bits of business. Drop that crap about sexual Tension on ARcher's Part and his wet dreams. If Episode had focused on the comedy bits of trying rto capture te Bat and then On the MUtt's recover and finallly Archer's apology at the end. That would have been enough.

In Azati Prime
there was absolutely no need for t-Pol following Archer down hallway and then whining "I don't want you to die", then going into the ready room and boo Hooing. finally tossing ut Trip who was trying to get her to to do her job, Instead, have Archer simply get into the pod and leave and t-Pol take command of the enteroprise and trip helping her as much as possible. T-Pol could then do what she eventuallly did in the Episode which was to fall apart and sit numbly while the Enterprise was getting the hell pounded out of it.
The problem with the Azati Prime bit is that it came out of nowhere.
There had been no indicatiion in previous episodes of anything but friendiless on T-Pol's part towards Archer. she teated him as the Captain and respected his authority as that. But she damned sure didn't seem to be so attached to archer that she came apart at the tought he might die.
Fact is, in previous episodes it was Trip that T-Pol seduced and Trip who she consoled over his Sister's death. Trip who she had the NP's with. Not ARcher.
Those two bits in Anis and Azati Prime were obvious attempts to work up an Archer/T-Pol romance which didn't fly.

Clearly, some of you are not getting the fine points about not posting spoilers. For further elucidation, I suggest you review the TrekBBS Rules about spoilers. Or visit [thread=74690]this thread[/thread]. And try to keep in mind that there are, indeed, new viewers to Enterprise visiting this forum. Some of them may want to view the episodes with an untainted eye. Show a little respect, okay?

Sorry Captain Zog. got carried away. Hopefully you will view all of the seasons once and then again. the second and third time around you begin to see things differently and pick up nuances that don't really show up the first time. Or at least it was that way for me. Of course I read a lot about the Episodes before I saw them.
Welcome to the board. I liked the end episodes of season 2 in particular. Some really good ones are ahead, like Cogenitor and Expanse.
It'd be interesting to hear your opinions on specifics. Maybe you can open threads for discussion? It'd been a while since people have thoroughly discussed an episode, with the exception of Cogentior and a Night in Sickbay.
