Just started on Season Two. **WARNING: SPOILERS for new viewers**

Captain Zog

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Having seen "Shockwave Part II", "Minefield" and "Dead Stop", I gotta say, the third episode of the three was the best. I really wish most early episodes were of that calibre. The last episode I really enjoyed from Season One was "Desert Crossing".

Welcome to Enterprise fandom. I'll warn you now there is a string of upcoming episodes in season 2 that might disappoint you. Please, just ride it out because it does get better toward the end and then there's Season Three! :bolian:

Re: Just started on Season Two.

I'll just post my apologies in advance. Though if you get through A Night in Sickbay without getting physically ill... you might be okay.

Re: Just started on Season Two.

Yikes, season two really tested my patience at times. There are some great bits along the way hidden amongst the rough. I would never sit through episodes like A Night In Sickbay, Precious Cargo and Bound again. The Seventh, Minefield, Dead Stop, Vanishing Point, Cogenitor, Regeneration and The Expanse are the ones I enjoyed.

Re: Just started on Season Two.

"Bound" is Season 4. All in good time.

Season 2 has a lot of fine episodes. Add "Singularity," "Cease Fire," "Catwalk," and "First Flight" to those already mentioned as standouts for me.

And a few of us enjoyed "A Night in Sickbay." *ducking*

Well good for y'all, I guess... ;)
"First Flight," "Minefield," "Dead Stop," "Singularity," "Carbon Creek," "Vanishing Point..." Those were good. The other ones are probably among the reasons the show died (I mean, it can't be because of S3 or S4, right?).

If you're not a member of Bermaga, why are you apologizing?
And ANIS appeals to some people. I like a couple of scenes in it.

Yes, but only a few of you. ;) Most of us were turned off by Archer's behavior, his wet dreams, and who can forget the juvenile Freudian slips?

The Seventh is plenty cringe-worthy too, but then there are plenty of those in S2. Bounty is another one I love to hate. :D

Re: Just started on Season Two.

Each episode has its fans and anti-fans.

Since we don't know whether Captain Zog has seen all of Season 2 yet, I suggest we lay low on plot specifics, to give the Captain a chance to watch these episodes unspoiled.

Re: Just started on Season Two.

Season 2 starts strong and ends on a high note. Starting with The Catwalk there is a marked increase in quality. Dawn and Canamar aren't anything special but I like them. Horizon is kinda meh but at least it tried to do something with the Mayweather character. Bounty is dumb, but I like the A-plot and the consequences from Judgment.

I loved Cease Fire, Future Tense, Judgment, Cogenitor, Regeneration, First Flight and The Expanse.

Re: Just started on Season Two.

Just watched "Carbon Creek" last night. Fun episode. :bolian:

I agree. But why did you watch Minefield and Dead Stop first?

I'm not watching the season in any particular order. They're all stand-alone episodes, so it doesn't seem to matter much. "A Night in Sickbay" was great crack too. Silly? Maybe a little, but it's good to see Star Trek not taking itself too seriously. Season 1 just seemed dryer.

Oops. I was thinking of Bounty actually. Which is better than Bound. *wipes Bound from memory* ;)

 I liked Carbon Creek which apparently some people thought was dreck, so it just goes to show one person's shit is another person's gold.

I have to say that whilst season 2 wasn't stellar, it was nice to be watching new Trek after so long of having not seen any. There were many moments throughout the first couple of seasons where the crew would be putting their best foot forward in the style of the Trek of yore.

Re: Just started on Season Two.

I just watched Singularity last night, now watching ENT straight through for the 3rd time. Indoctrinating the offspring. Thankfully they have never read Trek forums and have no preconceived notions that ENT will suck--so they love it.

One thing that always seems weird to me is how eps I really disliked such as ANIS and the Reed Birthday ep seem so much better the second and third time around. ANIS is a nice ep as far as fleshing out Dr. Phlox a bit. The guy never sleeps so it's nice to see how he spends the night.

Archer's jerkiness--I'm kind of used to it now though it is still embarrassing.

Re: Just started on Season Two.

I used to like TNG a lot as a kid, but now I find that there's a lot about it that sucks, and it isn't just limited to the first two seasons. Unless they're pretty muture, kids will like something if it fits in the action/adventure category, which Star Trek tends to for the most part.

Re: Just started on Season Two.

Bounty was infinitely worse because Bermaga turned T'Pol into a sweaty, horny object. Revolting.

So much for the request to lay low on plot specifics to keep the OP unspoiled.

Yay! More fans! :D

I wasn't all that specific. And the OP is a lieutenant so he's been around long enough to have seen plenty of major spoilers (like what happened to Porthos in Debugging Entry. Honest to God, my jaw hit the floor!).
