Yes, I have used that technique in the past as well to photograph some Eaglemoss Star Trek models in front of dramatic starfields. Very effective, because the light of the screen reflects on the surface of what you hold in front of it, which gives it a lot of realism.Lovely work, Scribble. The display screen backdrop is very effective. I've used this for a couple of art projects before and, if we don't get some sunshine today so I can photograph my cut-outs outside, I'm going to have to resort to it again.
