Jon Stewart destroys Glenn Beck

And Jon Stewart says, the show wouldn't make a whole lot of sense if you hadn't already been well grounded in the topics of the day before tuning in.

My sister was staying with me last night, and as the night went into too much booze I showed her some of the last week's worth of Daily Show.
Being British, she didn't have a clue about the Monday/Tuesday episodes about what was happening in Congress. The Glenn Beck intro had her in hysterical laughter until she clicked that the clips of the real Glenn Beck weren't spoofs as well...
Then came the fear.

Ever since i saw Stewart's near legendary appearance on Crossfire where he destroyed the entire show and both of its douchebags by not "being their monkey" i knew that he was only a superficial clown and that his show might be the one true source of unbiased news after you looked past his shenanigans.

Last night's ep was a rerun of the Glen Beck reinactment episode, so people looking for it can see it on the 3 reruns over the course of today, I think it's like 9am, 1pm, 7pm?

They have kids, it could be vacation week? Who knows. They get like 25 weeks off a year, the only people that work less than them is Congress.

I honestly feel it is well past time for Comedy Central to drop its balls and treat The Daily Show more like it's become, which is sadly one of the most unbiased "news" programs out there.

They should expand the show to an hour and have various "guest anchors" to fill-in while Stewart is on vacation.

^ That would work but Cobert is funnier than Stewart.

Whether or not Colbert is funnier than Stewart, the Daily Show's premise owes more to neutrality than the premise of the Colbert Report. The Daily Show is a spoof of general news, which is supposedly unbiased, but Colbert's show is a spoof of the O'Reilly Factor, a show that's definitely biased. So Colbert has to go down the same route.

With that said, the Daily Show clearly goes after conservatives/Republicans more, but lately they've been going after Democrats much more often than before, most likely because they've got all the power right now.
